  1. It’s funny how the outlook changes with a solid win where both sides of the ball look good, and some key changes in the outlook of other teams. Next several games: LV, WAS, NO, BAL, CIN, NYG Im gonna regret saying this but if the Bears turn last weekend into the beginning of a growth curve, there are some winnable games coming up.
  2. I don’t expect San Diego to lose more than 2 games the rest of the way. They may win out. Brewers did not try to win tonight. They’re in rest mode. AZ isn’t that great.
  3. Anyone figured out why we do this to ourselves every year?
  4. This was always going to happen. It was written in the stars.,,or something.
  5. It does help knowing the Tigers have had a historic tank out that ours pales in comparison
  6. Don’t expect help from the Brewers tonight they’re pitching Zimmerman, whoever he is.
  7. San Diego is rather nice this time of year I suppose.
  8. Even though home vs away isn’t decided? I’m not saying you are wrong but that would be poor strategy IMO. We still need wins.
  9. Surely he’s injured. There wouldn’t be any other good reason.
  10. The mishandling of Tucker is criminal. That alone should rightly result in a quick 2-and-out rejection at the hands of the Padres —in San Diego
  11. Just another catastrophe courtesy of your hometown Cobs.
  12. The Age of Robot Umps has arrived.
  13. Maybe the Lions are just really good.
  14. Lose Lions lose! 🤘🏼
  15. That’s true. The Cubs have to be one of the few teams that actually own the tiebreaker against the Brewers. We did everything we could to take the edge off of them.
  16. Hate to break this to everyone, but there's a picture with Shaw....and Busch...smiling broadly with Kirk at Wrigley. This is obviously a case where you've got to separate the players from rooting for the team. There's a lot of support for Trump and guys like Kirk in the pro athlete ranks. Could be even more Cubs. Cubs ownership is also strongly tied to the right. I know for me, being a Cub fan isn't optional, it's learned behavior from childhood for better or worse. I couldn't stop rooting for them even if I tried. So you root for the jersey and what the organization itself has meant to you. The current players come & go.
  17. There’s got to be a few photos of Flus walking off the field in shame.
  18. The Cubs will almost surely fall short of 93 games. The good news is SD has to play the Brewers and they still have something to play for but I think the Cubs must win 2 of the last 6 and 3 of 6 will all but guarantee home field. The Cubs really needed to not get swept this weekend. Nice job making it unnecessarily dramatic guys 👍👍.
  19. Charlie Kirk memorial: Cubs infielder misses game to attend service | Fox News Welp, Fox is lovin' it so I think it's safe to say yes, Shaw was given permission to attend the Kirk service. It's the Ricketts...
  20. Jerry has 'dem Al Davis vibes goin' on.
  21. They should never have let Monty leave.
  22. I don’t think I will ever get my fill of seeing the Cowboys fail.
