  1. I should be more optimistic than I currently am. Positives: Samardzija, Castro, Rizzo, Hammel, Jackson lately, pythag. record. If you told me in March that they would be outscoring their opponent with substantial improvements from Castro and Rizzo, I would've be pleased. Yet, I'm not. Probably because if they go 60-59 the rest of the way (which will be tough considering the likelihood of dealing away their best pitcher(s)), they will finish 76-86. If we go 33-31 or so through July 30th, do we necessarily trade Shark? My belief is, he's gone.
  2. Looks like the Cubs are the most divergent pythag team in the majors right now.
  3. Your wives are either very nice, or liars.
  4. I feel better now, knowing that Castro will continue to prepare well and play hard - as we lose for years upon years more. I have no idea what you think you just read but it's not what I wrote. I honestly don't know why you decided to take this up as something to argue.

  6. I wouldn't have minded one bit if they drafted a solid offensive guy in the 2nd round instead of Ferguson. They would still have had Sutton in the 3rd.
  7. Don't know if it was on purpose or not, but nice timing posting this right as our one blue player was being extended. Forte has to be one of the most underrated players in the league if he is considered only a "good starter". They only have the charts out for 6 teams, but on the Bills they consider Spiller "high quality" and Fred Jackson a "good starter". In what world are Fred Jackson and Matt Forte on the same tier?? As they pointed out in the article, the tipping point from high quality to good starter for Forte was his league worse pass protection rating. ....just seems like an awful lot of average players for a team that ranked #6 in offensive DVOA last year. To me, Forte should be in the next category up, and I might try to make the case for Martellus, too.
  8. It would be just like the Packers to see him suddenly become a choir boy and then hit the pro bowl every year. Kid's got talent. There's no risk for them if he can't stay clean -- they just toss him back on the street. It's a good move, IMO.
  9. Stick a fork in em
  10. I nearly got heat stroke out there one year. I'm glad you like them but I'll try my best to sit somewhere else now
  11. If traveling from LA is going to be a problem then they should forfeit.
  12. Excellent start. As usual we beat both the opponent AND the refs. Suck me
  13. YEAH take that clowns!!!
  14. On second view it only looked like a dive. That's why no call. Of course he dived, the guy whacked his leg with his stick!!!
  15. How is that not a trip ?!?!?
  16. Your Uverse, I think It's strange seeing the Hawks get beat up in SOG consistently. They've been able to overcome it so far but I'm concerned about it
  17. NHL is full of crap on that one, gotta say.

    Rizzo

all players do that, every great hitter has those days. I don't really remember posting this or the context but yes, I realize that.
  19. Remember the glory days last year, when at least we weren't as bad as the Stros? Good times.
  20. Is that a Scientology thing? No, he's pissed at people from Crete. Closer. Can't believe none of you have ever heard the expression. I used to hear it all the time.
  21. Just too much classic Boston tradition for us to understand.
  22. It sounds like the Habs are really using the "no respect" angle, feeding off it: http://www.masslive.com/bruins/index.ssf/2014/05/montreal_canadiens_use_boston_bruins_disrespect_as_motivation_in_winning_eastern_conference_second_r.html
