  1. Nobody should be surprised by this. Annoyed? I guess. But surprised? No. No kidding. I don't understand how anyone could think any firings right now would do anything besides just making meatballs feel better. Hey, meatballs have feelings too.
  2. Nobody should be surprised by this. Annoyed? I guess. But surprised? No. Yep. Few NFL teams make changes midseason (this isn't the hitting coach on a disappointing baseball team) and the Bears (at least to me) seem to be even more conservative than most franchises. I don't care enough to look it up but I can't remember a big shakeup in the middle of the season for the Bears.
  3. Seems like every time he got on a roll an injury happened and he was done for the year. By the way, what the hell does Kromer do for a living?
  4. Tucker isn't fired yet?
  5. All of this. This team is built entirely around its skill-position stars, and they aren't *that* good and seem to be declining. All of it is true, and reason for even more pessimism. After putting focus on defense, we've got nothing to show for it and now the offense is declining. Special teams suck as well. All 3 units either a bad joke or spiraling down into the abyss. No coaching to help matters. A GM who thought it was a good idea to go CFL over Arians. Arians shaking his head and going to Zona because of how weird things were in Chicago. I mean, total [expletive] nuclear catastrophe.
  6. First time team gives up 50+ in consecutive games since 1923. Also most pts ever allowed in one half by any Bear team. What time is the Press conference to fire Tucker?
  7. Ok I have important things to do, such as sleeping.
  8. There's nothing quite like being down 40 points and then seeing your #1 WR suffer an injury
  9. Try turning off the tapatalk sig. I think it screws up sometimes
  10. He's been GM for 3 years and this team is awful. It's pretty clear he has not been good. He's largely done well with talent composition IMO. He inherited an aging defensive team and outside of his first draft where he still managed to draft a pro-bowl caliber WR, I think has done well drafting. His only real bad FA signing to this point is JA. And his one trade was great At this juncture his coaching decisions have completely undermined those things(literally half of today's scores can be linked directly to coaching not talent). So yes he's been bad, but I don't think it's unreasonable if you liked him at first you'd give him a shot to correct this current existing weakness. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Jason Campbell, Lamar Houston and Michael Bush say hello. Lamar Houston played his role well. Bush and Campbell are not significant in the entirety of his FA record. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Much like having Aaron Rodgers can cover a multitude of GM sins, fantastically failing your HC hire can hide many other decent GM moves.
  11. Honest question: Does McCarthy have one eye on 73-0 at this point? That briefly crossed my mind. But he would be hanged if Rodgers got hurt
  12. At the beginning of the year someone had the Bears last in the North something like 6-10. I was incredulous. Still having trouble grasping what the hell happened here
  13. This has got to be IT. The worst single game embarrassment in Bears history
  14. Lol this is hilarious
  15. He's been GM for 3 years and this team is awful. It's pretty clear he has not been good. Agreed but I'm trying to see why someone would want to keep him beyond the unwritten rule of them staying for two coaches. Good job on Marshall. Good pick w/Alshon. I still think Bennett was a good move. Long pick was solid. But damn it to hell you can't blow your HC pick like this. Not on a CFL guy when there were other clearly better choices
  16. So no one fired at halftime? Darn it that's why I was still watching
  17. Oh I'm always ready to be disappointed.
  18. Most GMs get a second head coach hire unless they [expletive] the bed in all other aspects of the job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk He's not most GMs, he was an experiment. He in no way should be allowed another hire. But I'm sure he will anyway What makes him not most GMs. Coming up through scouting and director of college scouting isn't some obscure GM path. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk What? Nobody had a clue who he was. He was hired from deep obscurity. Fan name recognition isn't an important GM trait. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk You are being ridiculous

  21. Exactly they were both outside the box high risk/high reward hires that failed miserably. I know what you are going for here, but I don't see the basis for the "high reward" part of the equation.
  22. Coach of the 1-8 Bucs? I bet we'd be better than 3-6 if he were still here. At least he wasn't a dumpster fire in year 2
