    Pretty sure Allen was on his way out, now he’s good. Is it really Mitch or do we just not know how to make him successful?

    Most of the time I don’t even notice the names of people on the special-teams unit. But today Woods has been in on several nice kick coverage plays.

    Texans defense is a pile of crap, but how come I haven’t seen Robinson do that nifty slip maneuver all year? And Mitch throwing where the pressure is coming from? ...and play calls that make sense?

    It still seems odd to poach an OC from the Bills for a HC gig. But I'd be a fan of this hire. If it's not the Bears he'll end up as a HC somewhere. I would have laid a few dollars Allen would be out of the league or settled in as a backup, so yeah I'd say that's pretty impressive.

    Shouldn’t the Phillips role be the one responsible for hiring the right GM, in an ideal scenario? I don’t think I want him involved in the next hire.

    Even the defense was putrid. 4 legit Lions TD drives and nary a hint of a spine to hold DET to a FG at the end.

    Yeah these are sustained drives by the Lions with the Bears not really challenging them. Bears just aren’t doing much to disrupt the Lions.

    Lions. I have no doubt Trubisky could not have sustained good performances against the tougher teams. I’m not sure he would’ve looked as bad as Foles though.

    Some rumblings that this wasn't about Covid. Vanderbilt had a mutiny apparently. Guess they weren't fans of the goalie being their kicker and/or their coach being fired. Whatever Too bad. The performance on the field might suffer from that sort of thing.

    I came of age with the '85 Bears and of course they were going to be a dynasty. The Packers were going to be fodder for us each year. This was just understood to be a happy fact of being a Bear fan.

    I’m thankful too. What would they do without Rodgers? Trump gone, hunting season over. We’d be looking at a catastrophe up there.
