  1. Well, this is a big reason why I would rather have had the “next” GM make the QB pick. But the reality is, Pace is the GM, we don’t really know the Bears are even thinking past him yet, and this is an actual legitimate 1st round talent. I’m happy Pace made a QB pick that I’m on board with, basically. I didn’t have much faith he could do it.
  2. Ok. This pick makes sense. Happy.
  3. Seems like there’s some consensus when looking across multiple mocks: OT Teven Jenkins CB Greg Newsome I’d love a new QB but hate the idea that Pace would be the guy to make that pick.
  4. That gave me a laugh, thanks WF. Or was I really crying inside?
  5. Can’t be true. Simply must be wrong.
  6. They don’t get hits. It’s really boring.
  7. If B1G really has no teams in the Sweet 16 it's going to be unbelievable to me. I guess that's why they call it March Madness. But holy hell, I usually don't root for the Wolverines but someone's got to win a damn game!
  8. When he’s out the D looks so much worse though. Not sure I can say that about Fuller. You can't say it about Fuller since he's been healthy since the one season he missed. Hehe, touché
  9. When he’s out the D looks so much worse though. Not sure I can say that about Fuller.
  10. Sadly, nothing is ever guaranteed with this Badger bunch. I really wish I could have seen them in last year’s tourney.
  11. Awwwwww hellll naaawww. This move ought to seal the deal for both these clowns. Dalton to send this era to the history books, new GM to make the right pick @ QB. That’s what needs to happen. But, Bears so...
  12. 3 first rounders and 2-3 other top picks? That’s really the waters we’d be swimming in? Plus players too? Hey, I’d love to see Wilson come play for the Bears, especially having fond memories of his college days in Madison. But no way. That’s just too steep. Get your pick right in the draft itself, for a change. Then a great QB costs 1 first rounder. Spending all those picks on a QB is elegant proof that your GM horsefeathering sucks. Hire a new GM, make the right picks and win that way.
  13. That was amazing to see. But also reinforces that the Bears are not a QB away from contending. Consistent pass rush is how you shut someone like Mahomes down in a big game. How many times have we seen guys like Rodgers tear us apart because we cant get anyone near him, and if we do he has enough time to find a 4th option open just in the nick of time? True. It’s just that the kind of dominance we saw last night is really hard to get.
  14. Why not the Bears? Playoff team even with stinky QB play much of the year, mediocre the rest of the time. Seems like Brady would be exactly what the team is lacking.
  15. That throw was inhuman but alas, still not enough.
  16. What is happening
  17. The first one I didn’t mind. The second one was inexplicable. 3rd and 10? Sure. Call it there. But not 3rd and 2. They’re totally in #32’s head. Chiefs can still come back but wow I didn’t see this.
  18. Ok, so the Chiefs can’t be doing things THAT differently. Is this just because you can’t do it against Brady?
  19. This is unreal. Where are the real Chiefs?
  20. TB went conservative in the 2nd half even with the turnovers. They could do that vs GB, that won't work vs KC. I doubt KC will go to man to man coverage at the end of a half. Didn't they throw the picks by playing horsefeathers it, I'm going deep? One of those was a terrible decision to throw a deep-ball bailout to avoid a sack. But the other INT was on a designed deep throw. They did run the ball quite a bit, even though they kept getting stuffed.
  21. He'd probably be working on winning his 3rd straight championship in 3 seasons as a starter if Dee Ford had just lined up correctly in the 2018 AFC title game. I think a shoot out between him and Rodgers in the SB would have been fun to watch. Yes, separating it from my Packers hate, that game would have been a lot of fun.
  22. I thought the same thing, except when Brady was throwing INTs I also thought the same about TB. All around there were mistakes being made that were beneath these teams. It got pretty bizarre at the end, with LaFleur's call being the capper for me. For Rodgers' part, after the game he said the call wasn't his to go for the FG. To me that's really close to saying it was BS, but maybe I'm reading into it. I agree if you are a Packer fan you've got to be wondering what it takes to get over the hump.
  23. You’ve got to remember, they were giving the ball to the GOAT with an opportunity to ice the game. This isn’t a normal calculation at all. You can boil this down to a binary choice if you want to. You give the ball to your HOF QB to save the game. Or you give the ball to the other team’s HOF QB hoping he won’t ice it.
  24. I just saw the highlights and I’ll bet Rodgers is wishing he ran it on the 3rd down play too. It didn’t look like the Bucs had anyone in position to stop him.
