  1. You know, I've always just LOVED how the Bears celebrate a safety more than they do a TD. That's Bear football baby.
  2. What about the open guys he missed in the first half? Aside from Moose for the TD? He barely even threw the ball in the first half, anyways. Turner is just going to yank the chain and run it now. Maybe a few short passes. Unless the D gives something up, Rex probably won't see much chance to redeem himself today.
  3. Why? I sure hope not. Looked like a normal tackle to me. He went off on his own power, that's a good thing.
  4. LOL, show Bollinger's UW stats as if that means anything.
  5. Yet the run defense continues to suck.
  6. Benson has more speed to the outside than defenses think. I wish we had an angle to see the Vikings faces on that play. You would see their jaws wide open: "He can do THAT??" Damn straight he can.
  7. Please waste the challenge Minny. TD Benson!!
  8. the int was a pass deflected by a D lineman and a great grab by the LB the next two passes were check downs. he missed one that would have gone for no gain, then Dez dropped the next one. ugh withouth Tommie. Nice try, but he threw that ball behind and over Clark's head. That ball should be caught. It was only about a foot over his head and wasn't really thrown behind him. He was just turned an awkward way and couldn't come down with it. PICK! Unless Dez has been taking ballerina lessons, that's behind him and over his head, a poor throw. Thank you RMJ!

  10. Benson injured his wrist in the 2nd quarter. Yep. Defense is going to start getting tired. I think they already are.
  11. I think we are past the point now. That's another 3 INT game. What's that QB rating now?
  12. You talking about the late hit? Looked like a good call to me, and a dumb move by Chris Harris.
  13. This is a really good point that I was about to mention. The Bears are really set up to win THIS year. Hell, you know the defense is going to be worse next year, just based on the loss of Lance Briggs alone. They have to go for it this season, Grossman's development be damned. If Griese can help the team win more this year, they have to do that. So you'd advocate playing the inferior veteran over the younger player, when the veteran doesn't give you much over the younger player? winning with Lance Briggsat the expense of Developing Rex is not a good strategy for the long term health of the team. Your assumption that Griese would be inferior at this point to Rex is not a supportable assertion. as is your assumption he would be better. Just show me where Griese put up a 0 QB rating. Otherwise your just dead wrong. if A = B, and B = C, then Y obviously = cherry pie. Now Rex NEEDS to play well, otherwise this game is going to be a loss. Let's see how he responds.
  14. 11/9/2003: 15/27 131 yds 0 TD 3 INT 27.1 RAT 9/30/2002 35/53 328 yds 1 TD 3 INT 65.6 RAT 1/6/2002 16/32 151 yds 1 TD 4 INT 34.2 RAT Easily beats Rex today.
  15. Meanwhile this defense has its own problems.

  18. Rex is playing worse than he did against the Patriots. The Vikings are among the league worst in pass defense. He's regressing. At what point will some of you admit a change needs to happen? When the Vikings beat us? How about after we lose HFA through the playoffs? Once all momentum heading into the playoffs has been destroyed? I'm curious now. What will it take?
  19. Harris is down. This game is going south in a hurry.
  20. But he did throw a pick in the red zone, which IMO is worse than throwing it in your own territory. You'd rather give the opposition a full set of downs to try to put up 7 than lose a chance to likely only put up 3? No, I'd rather have a QB that doesn't throw 2 INTs on successive passes though. Something better than a 0 QB rating would be nice. I don't think that's too much to ask for.
  21. Tree, the choice is between a young bad and an older, veteran bad. Why go with the older bad? It's about degrees of bad. I only wish Grossman was merely bad, unfortunately he has been worse than bad. I would argue that this is *PRECISELY* why we signed Griese. To come in if Rex is struggling this badly. No. They signed him to come in if Rex got hurt. That's not the only reason. I disagree, and so would Angelo and Lovie. We'll see about that. There will come a point if things don't improve. We are fast approaching that point.
