  1. Those are great seats. Anything on the 200 level within the first and third basepaths will also be excellent. Maybe the first game will sell because of the novelty, but I wouldn't see a problem with just walking up to the ticket window day of the game and expecting decent seats. The Brewers have enough trouble selling out their own weekday games as it is.
  2. If we want to send Floyd on a rehab vacation by May, then by all means lets give him the bulk of the starts in left. I hope I'm not the only one who has noticed Cliff limping his way back to the dugout after an out on the basepads. Those legs are.......not great.
  3. I'd like to see my offense put up more than 3 runs against Woody Williams. I won't pin everything on Howry.
  4. It wouldn't have been a new development 3 years ago. But it would be today. no, not it's not. Okay, we'll just pretend like Floyd isn't a hobbled old man playing on his last legs coming off a terrible season in which he couldn't hold Murton's jock. I like the way you work. I'd like to think he's got a little left in the tank since he's only a couple years removed from a pretty good year, but yeah Murton should be getting the bulk of the starts and it looks like he's going to. We could do worse than to have Floyd coming off the bench -- just look at what we were trotting out there last year in late-inning situations.
  5. My God. Here we go with the media crap.
  6. Use your eyes? Where am I? Howry was as dominant as a set-up caliber pitcher gets last year. He didn't struggle to get outs. He wasn't flinging crap like Beck. I don't see the dominance you do. Did he look dominant today when got destroyed on that dinger?
  7. Howry was great last year and he may wind up being so this year but the early returns are bad. Yeah, he was great last year, far from iffy. But that's the problem when you sign aging middle relievers to longterm deals. They aren't the picture of stability. He struggles every time he pitches, including last year. It's only a matter of time before he gets rocked. A pitcher can look good on the stat sheet but use your eyes, it's obvious the guy struggles to get hitters out. Sure he can ride the dragon for a while, get the outs. But eventually it's going to come crashing down. this is just plain old nonsense. Was it nonsense with Beck, too? How about Borowski? Did you think his 2003 ERA+ of 161 was going to carry over to next season? He struggled to get outs as well. Use your eyes. It's not hard to pick out a pitcher who has trouble. Not hard to pick out the ones who are due for disaster.

ERA+ of 144 in 1998, but his struggles were obvious, even at the height of his success with the Cubs. There was no question he would eventually start getting blasted.
  9. Howry's been iffy since the day he arrived here. Definitely not as advertised.
  10. Cesar = the Dominican god of walks He can't hit, and seems to realize it so he just doesn't swing all that often. Hey--it makes him better than Neifi just on that alone.
  11. Come on riot DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS CRAP.
  12. OK, so now even Gameday is showing balls that are clearly in the strike zone. This is INSANE.
  13. I might have to move up my prediction for Lou's first blowup. We might not make it out of April.
  14. Yeah, seems that way with me too. I know it's only been 7 games, but this team seems a lot like the 2005 team already. Wait for it. Waaaaiiiit for it. FEAST OR FAMINE!
  15. I think he'll get it... The offense has to wake up Lilly's doing what he's pretty much always going to do. Give up 3-4 runs. We simply need to score more to compete.
  16. Woody freaking Williams. You guys sure he's only 3-8 against us? Every time I watch, it's like this. I don't recall ever seeing us get to this meatball.
  17. This is maddening. Woody's going to suck this year. Whole world knows it. Astros know it. Woody knows it. We know it. But today, against us, he's good.
  18. He's not totally comfortable yet, no question.
  19. Houston must have acquired him solely for the purpose of pitching against us. He sucks against anyone else. He's like 3-8 with a 6+ ERA against the Cubs. Exactly, he's sucked against the Cubs lifetime. Maybe I need to stop watching. Seems like every time I watch WW against us, he's inexplicably solid.
  20. Houston must have acquired him solely for the purpose of pitching against us. He sucks against anyone else. He's like 3-8 with a 6+ ERA against the Cubs. Seemed like he was better. DON'T BOTHER ME WITH YOUR STUPID FACTS!! OMG, R U JOE MORGAN? Ouch man. That really hurt.
