    Yeah, but can't they get sued if they know there might be an injury but they continue to let him pitch? This doesn't sound...........legal.

    Well, to be fair it's not like the entire Japanese league is able to come here & tear it up. That said, there's definitely talent over there that can compete at the MLB level. I think they impose a 9-year ban on leaving for the US too, so there could be some other players who fizzle before they get the chance to come here, but would have been able to compete during their peak window. Seems to me it's a pretty high grade of baseball in Japan.

    I hope they're right about Okwo. He played in a big conference and I can't remember hearing about him even once. It was much the same for Briggs, so I guess I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. If Leak made the team, I wouldn't bat an eyelash at losing Kyle Orton.

    Hopefully one of the things they learn is that Duhon shouldn't be the 6th man. Or maybe when they have an easy path to the conference finals in the bag, don't play like crud in the final game so you have to go through the #1 seed instead.

    We all knew Floyd would be on/off the DL; let's not act like this is a suprise. More opportunity for Murton to play, as I was hoping for from the beginning.

    Couldn't help but notice all the empty seats in DET. That can't be good news for the NHL. 2nd round playoffs and only maybe 70% seats full in a charter city? Ouch.

I've noticed ESPN has stopped the 24/7 Dice-K coverage now that he's not cutting it. Mwahahaha. Another ESPN best-laid-plan gone wrong. Gotta love it. And ESPN has the nerve to bust the Cubs' chops over the Soriano contract??? Give me a break -- at least Soriano has a history of top performance at the major league level.

    It would have been a great gesture to bring him back to finish out his career here. The bad blood that existed has largely left the organization. Most of those people are now sitting on the sidelines watching baseball, while Sammy still plays.
