I get what you are saying raw and I agree with some of it. But I've seen QBs fare better on teams with bad talent. You can see the QB talent is there, even through the bad stuff. I'm not seeing that with Fields. And can you really blame people for freaking out when this is a old, worn out broken record? He needs time. The talent around him is awful. The coaches are protecting him. It's a new offense. Ultimately when I see plays where the pocket is clean and the ball just sails into a defender, or he holds on to the ball staring down one receiver too long and gets sacked, it's bad and there's understandably concern whether he can be successful.
