but now bonds is going to be on sportscenter! :cry: :cry: :cry: I'll be a lot less angry if the Cubs end up winning today, but the umps just can't give the game away like this. If Bonds comes up in the 9th, there will be no called strikes. I don't care who he is, he shouldn't get the benefit of the doubt when the ball is clearly a strike. The operative word being "if" This game shouldn't even be in doubt. -
The man is going to need 2-3 days off after this series. We could use a day off as a baseball team too. Playing straight through the weekend, Monday off, but then 2 more weeks straight through.

if fontenot can get as hot as he was, this team will look tough to beat. the problem being that milwaukee looks pretty tough to beat as well. Who cares? We can't do anything about them. We'll win the WC if we play like we have been. that's what i generally say as well, but it would be helpful if they started losing. I pretty much figured they'd keep winning even after Sheets went out. It was just too simple to think they'd suddenly collapse or something. It's galvanized them instead. They're tough. I agree on the WC. Padres have a tougher schedule, if we keep winning it's questionable that they could stay ahead.
