  1. That means big rain coming right? End this thing quick!
  2. Same here. Going into the bottom of the second, I decided to spend the day skydiving instead, and it was still only 2-2 when I left, but I knew it would only get worse and I'm glad to have been away. I hope Sean Marshall gets to take his spot back now. Marshall has never been there before, and hes never started a game in September. Plus hes not a gamer, or a winner, so Marshall needs to stay in the bullpen, so his little rookie head doesnt explode from the pressures of pitching in Sept......... Love the fact that both zambrano and lilly will be going on 3 days rest so they can avoid pitching Marshall. I can't even believe it.
  3. Thank you Cubs, for brightening what is otherwise a pretty dreary day. Now let's keep it up!
  4. The ignorance of the people in charge of the Cubs is astounding. Other teams must laugh their butts off when they hear things like this. WTH? Can't be.
  5. *curls up in fetal position* ...no more. .....no more. ...god.
  6. How many more bug-eyed mashers do they have down there anyway? Sheesh. Every time Braun comes up to bat, I feel like he could take off his face and underneath? THE FLY!

Marshall's just not gritty enough. Need more grit. GRITS.
  8. Cubs are at 2:20 If he's hopping a quick flight to Denver, watching the Cubs/Cards @ the airport, and then flying back to St. Louis... That schedule would be correct. 8-)
  9. Looked very much like he knows it is a severe injury. Damn that sucks. I have difficulty every time he gets injured so early. He means so much to this D. I think it will prove to be a huge, huge loss. On an even more serious note though, there was a Denver Bronco who suffered what looks to be a very serious spinal injury today on a helmet-to-helmet hit.
  10. Yeah, it would have been nice to see the outcome of this one without the 3 horrible turnovers though, even with the rush-first mentality. I thought they needed to run the ball well to win anyway, which they really didn't. Rex had that deep in route working though and it would have helped to see them go to it a bit more. Plus where were the quick drop passes? Blah, I'm ready to put this one to bed 8-)
  11. This wasn't a Bears fan. I see. You'll see the exact same post from Bear fans too though, unfortunately.
  12. Yeah it's difficult to fathom that kind of attitude. Seriously sometimes it feels like 50% of Bear fans are pulling against the team. Grossman had very little to do with this loss.
  13. considering he's consistently been one of the best RBs in football during the last 5 years, and is on his way to Canton, I think he's allowed to have one down game against a very stout defense. No doubt, he'll be fine and have another solid season but I think Roast is giving him far too much credit. Gates was a far bigger factor, imo. ETA: I lived in SD for a year and am a huge fan of LDT, what he does for the city is amazing and he deserves the type of credit that Warrick Dunn gets. I like the guy and have no problem with his celebration today nor his defending Merriman last January. Got no problem either. I was glad we were able to stop him until it was basically over. But any time you give one of the league's best team the ball in your own territory multiple times you will lose, and deserve to lose. Chargers did exactly what a good team does, they took the gifts and cashed in on them.
  14. Danielle better be ready to take the step up that I think he is. AA is as billed so far - awful in coverage, great tackler. Dusty better be ok because he looks great in there. I liked having two Sooners in the middle. Yep. Positives: 1) No Rex meltdown against one of the NFL best defenses. 2) Tommie Harris is back......completely 3) Dusty looks very, very good. If healthy he's a huge addition 4) Mark Anderson looked quick, didn't give up the point on runs which was his biggest concern Negatives: 1) Turnovers 2) MB injury. Dusty injury 3) Terrible running game. Benson looked average 4) Pass protection was crap, too many breakdowns Lions just won. Welcome to last place!
  15. Vasgergian is doing the Lions game :) If the Raiders can pull off a big play it will be fun.
  16. SD the better team today, fewer mistakes and a very stout defense, especially against the run. What irks me the most are the injuries. I hope they aren't serious but I would be suprised if MB doesn't miss significant time, becaue he *ALWAYS* misses significant time.
  17. I can see, when taken out of context, how that can be seen as rubbing it in your faces. But it's certainly not. Someone made a comment about how LDT shouldnt have posed because he had a crappy day. I stated that he was essentially the entire offense today. Plus it was a big TD and he is generally known as not being a showoff; I don't think it was fair for people to criticize him for posing at the end of that play. One would think that I've earned enough credit here as a good poster not to have to walk on eggshells here to avoid being called a troll. Gates was essentially the offense except for one trick pass from LDT and a few small catches. I know LDT is your guy, but no need to give him more credit than he deserves. I apologize for the threat, but yeah that's what was annoying to me. Let's all be friends. We have about 20 days of Cub pain to get through together :x
  18. I'm pretty sure that GB, MIN, and DET represent 3 tomato cans that SD will knock over with ease, so if the Bears can avoid making this into more than it really is, it will likely even itself out by year's end. We didn't get blown out. I was actually kind of worried that Rex would toss 3 INTs and we would. There were some good things here. It's just that the bad outweighs it.
  19. Great, great hangtime on the punts, and spotty blocking on SD's gunners. If that's the way it is, I'm fine with Devin not risking a turnover and just calling for a fair catch
  20. Well, I'm willing to chalk this one up to just being a better team in SD and we're on the road. Next week we better have our butts in gear against a team that just got blown to kingdom come by the Houston Texans.
