  1. I guess I'm going to start hoping one of Patterson, Floyd or Rhodes fall to the Titans tomorrow.
  2. I'm not nearly as excited about Pugh as Mayock, but I think it's a solid pick. They're getting ancient on the line.
  3. Eifert or Ogletree to NY, I think.
  4. I really like Jarvis Jones.
  5. Exactly. I like Manuel as a developmental guy, but you don't take a project QB in round 1.
  6. You know you've made a bad pick when the #1 thing everybody says is "he's a winner!"
  7. Holy cow, that's a mega-reach.
  8. True. But against lesser competition and better talent around him. That clearly doesn't bridge the entire gap, but it does some. No, it really doesnt Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2 Neither is likely a franchise QB going forward, so even if Geno's better (I'd say he is) it's rather meaningless. You are such a hater Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2 I just figure if I'm taking a QB in the first round and staking my job on him, I better be certain he's a stud. None of these QBs are.
  9. True. But against lesser competition and better talent around him. That clearly doesn't bridge the entire gap, but it does some. It doesn't to any significant degree. We're talking about a 16% difference in completion percentage in their last years. Locker would have to be slingshotting the ball down the field with his sack to justify that big of a difference. Locker was also in a brand new offense (Sarkisian's pro style offense) whereas Geno was in largely similar offenses his entire career. Geno's better, but I'm not at all convinced he's more likely than Bray or Glennon to be a franchise QB.

  11. Really nice pick by Carolina.

  13. How is Floyd free falling do much?
  14. The top QBs in this draft are basically the same quality as Jake Locker so I had no interest. Taking a QB in the top 10 this year would have been as bad a pick as the Titans' made when taking Locker. Locker is a special brand of bad. And he was Geno before Geno - big arm, good athleticism, suspect accuracy. Locker's been held back by poor coaching, but on draft day they were 2 very similar QBs.

  16. Predictable, but solid. With the additions of Warmack and Levitre, this should be one if the best offensive lines in the NFL next year.
  17. trade down for anybody, buffalo did right after them and got some options. Geno is going to be a stud and he's a difference-maker. I'm not convinced about Geno, though I wouldn't have hated the pick. The difference between Cooper and the 2nd round guys isn't much greater than Geno and the rest.
  18. This'll probably be Warmack and that's fine. I'd prefer Floyd, though.
  19. He was heavily rumored to be going 4 or 5, and the trade only cost a second. Too many good rushers in this draft to give a 2nd rounder for a guy who doesn't stand ou from the rest. You and I have very different ideas of standing out, then. He was by far my favorite available pass rusher, outside of Carradine. I probably like him the most of the edge rushers, but not that much more.
  20. Short of moving up for Johnson it was the best move they could make. He'll help whoever their QB is to stay alive all year. palmer is not the answer. the cardinals are in the proverbial QB wilderness. And none of the guys at the top of this draft will lead them out of the wilderness. Or if they do, you can still take most any of them in the 2nd round. I like the later guys (Bray, Manuel, Glennon) as much as the earlier guys. they could have traded down. and i don't know what you have against smith, he's going to make one team very happy. Could they have traded down? If so they should have, but I have my doubts anybody is chomping at the bit to move up rich now. And I don't dislike Geno, I just don't think he's better than the other so-so QBs in this draft. This is a historically weak draft for QBs.
  21. I agree it was a bit high, but I'm not sure there was a better pick available.

  23. Where do the Jets go now? Cordarrelle?
  24. Oops, I missed that.
