  1. Cobb is Percy Harvin without the high profile college experience. I don't know that he's as athletic as Harvin, but they're similar type players. Good comparison.
  2. Not a fan of Ridley here, too early. Yeah, that comment was to the Mallett pick. Ridley is a terrible pick, IMO. They went RB the previous pick. And Ridley was a 2-3 round reach. I'm actually not a huge fan of their draft prior to the Ridley pick. Solder's a nice player, but I like some of the later tackles better (Carimi) and Vereen fills a need but isn't a great second round pick. I really like the Mallett pick, though. I don't dislike their draft, I just don't think it's been particularly special.
  3. On a side note, NFL Network has a great crew doing the draft today. Mayock, Charles Davis and Billick are giving really good analysis.
  4. Not a fan of Ridley here, too early.
  5. Lombardi reporting on NFL Network the Pats will take Mallett here.
  6. Mallett to New England? That'd be really interesting.
  7. Houston's a really good pick by KC.
  8. Luke Stocker's dropping more than I thought he would. I thought he'd be the 2nd or, at worst, 3rd TE off the board.
  9. With the draft cut up into 3 days, they've started inviting guys projected to go early in each of the first two days. So projected 1st and 2nd round guys are there now.
  10. I really like Paea and think he's a great fit and meets a need but I wouldn't have complained about Hankerson or Little. Hopefully they address WR in free agency because I'm not a fan of what's left out there. I like Hankerson a lot. Don't know if he'll last until the next Bears' pick, but he's a big, long receiver who would mix in well with the short, speedy guys the Bears have. Can't catch, though, and that's a problem.
  11. I was hoping Cobb would stick around until the Titans' 3rd rounder, he'd have fit really nicely into the receiving/return game for them. Green Bay needs to put a wildcat package into place because Cobb can throw the ball a little bit too.
  12. Cobb's on the phone. If he's the Packers' pick, they're getting a really nice player.
  13. Anybody hear what the Dolphins gave up to get Daniel Thomas?
  14. Not according to NFL.com's draft tracker. It has the Lions moving from 23 to 26 in the 5th and from 2 to 6 in the 7th.
  15. I like what Bruce Allen is doing for the Redskins. Tons of holes, so keep stockpiling picks. Mallett would be a good value for Miami at this point, if he's the pick.
  16. Mouton was the first player taken I've never heard of before. Really strange pick by the Chargers with Houston and others still on the board.
  17. LeShoure isn't the kind of guy who'll make anyone say "wow" but he catches the ball very well, runs hard and makes good cuts, and though i'm no expert on this, I would certainly call him a willing blocker.... I would have loved to have him on the Bears to back up Forte and be the guy around the goal line... not a huge guy but someone I think would find a way to get in the end zone I like Leshoure, but I wouldn't give up that much unless I thought I was getting a premiere tailback who can make a huge impact. I don't think that RB exists in this draft be it Ingram or Leshoure. true, hadn't considered what they gave up That was the key to my comment. Taking Leshoure was a really good idea, giving up a 3rd and 4th and swapping spots in the 5th and 7th to get him wasn't.
  18. I'd have gone Curtis Marsh, but Harris is a nice addition.

  20. I thought Little would last longer than that. Massive upside, though, and could be a stud for the Browns in a couple-few years.
  21. Lots of quantity but not much quality at the receiver position. No need to force a pick this early.
  22. Lions give up a 3rd and 4th rounder and swap places with Seattle in the 5th and 7th for Leshoure. Interesting, though I'm not sure I like Leshoure that much.
  23. I think Paea had the best bench of anybody at the combine. He's a very powerful DT.
  24. If the Giants can keep Austin motivated they just made the best pick in the draft.
