  1. I misjudged the fickle nature of Cubs fans, so I didn;t think it would be poss. at the start to get any tickets so I didn't sign up.
  2. it means you were hogging up VWR space for people that actually had passwords. I have 6 open now, bitches.
  3. Dammit, I got 3 open windows too.
  4. you should have received an email with a password, got mine at 7:23 am this morning. I never signed up for anything.
  5. I got in, what do they mean by password?
  6. The Cubs were 0-5 with my Garvey avatar in the playoffs, so I felt compelled to change it. 8-)
  7. I hope they don't think that this will enable the Rays to sign high priced free agents. Merchandise sales of MLB licensed stuff is shared with all 30 teams. This means when all those Yankee and Red Sox fans buy up all that Yankee and Red Sox gear, they're helping out everyone in MLB. They don't have to, they have to lock up their current roster (BJ, CC, Kazmir) and a 97 win team, the youngest team in the playoffs, with the best farm system in the game will only get better.
  8. I rather have Lou yell at him to have a good approach at the plate, he'll never have a great approach but better than what he's shown.
  9. That was fun to see, I think Cabrera was trying to fire up his team. TB has been in quite a bit more confrontations than some tiny MI kicking dirt. Balfour is high strung anyways and if the Sox tried intimidating them, that won't work. Neither will meatballs to Evan, they'll need BJ to step up tonight. What did Cabrera do? Balfour was yelling at himself trying to get himself pumped up like he does. Cabrera makes a scene starts barking at Balfour to throw the ball over the plate and kicks dirt, Balfour yells, "what the f is your problem", Cabrera has some other words. Cabrera strikes out with the bases juiced, Balfour pumps his fist, points at him and then has some more words for him as he walks off the mound, Cabrera stands at home plate, AJ Pierzynski has some words for Balfour as does the White Sox 1B coach (Munoz) who stands around awhile as Guillen comes out of the dugout.

  11. Scott Kazmir disagrees. Kazmir hasn't found the release point on that slider all month and Buehrle has been solid mixing that cutter and change recently, even with that slow start in his final outing in Minn. For TB, Buehrle being a GB pitcher is going to help. IMO, Kazmir's command of his FB will be the thing to watch, he can still as a FB changeup pitcher, but if he can't locate that FB, he's going to be at 100 pitches in the 4th.
  12. TB needed that one, Shields is their best pitcher and Vasquez is a gutless wonder, hell they had to pull that one out.
  13. Milwaukee is an aggressive team, I didn't think Weeks was going to hold up on that change with two strikes. Milwaukee has to focus on the outer 3rd of the plate, they're not going to get his timing down, at least lock in on a location and since his velo. isn't strong enough to overpower on the inner 3rd as well as Mil. being a good inside FB hitting team, they need to lock in a location.
  14. Gallardo has feel for his release point on his curve, I'd sit on his FB right now until two strikes. Hamels is on right now and the FB will be looking 95 MPH w/tail after the 2nd time around.
  15. Shields is a much much better pitcher at the Tropicana,
  16. I'm glad CC will be back as it will be good to have another speed threat out there in the dome as well as one of the team leaders, I didn't think he'd make it back. Of course, Danks and Buehrle give him trouble.
  17. God, I hope Eddings isn't there.
  18. It's probably hard not to be biased, but how do you think the Sox matchup with the Rays? It's a tough place for the Sox to play, it's not easy to hit HRs there and TB plays well there. There is a concern TB SPs hit a wall at the end likely from usage and momentum is key. The key to the series will be TBs bullpen and if they're tight or not.
  19. This is the match-up I wanted for TB.
  20. The Rays match up very well against the Sox, they've outplayed them in every aspect of the game.
  21. Time to play in the dome again, TB is a notch above Minn. in pitching and hitting. FEEL THE HEAT!!! RAYS!!!
  22. Jenks has had his velo up recently. That curve is one of the best I've seen.
  23. I'd bunt here for a hit, test that lack of mobility. I would've stuck with Danks.
  24. Thome is one of my fav. players in MLB, him and Swisher are prob. two of the classier players in the game.
