  1. I mean you're not wrong haha, its objectively less effective to try to "jack up" some guy than it is to wrap up and bring him down. I still don't like seeing guys get thrown out because they came in and happened to have their head in the wrong spot, or the receiver ducked at the last second. I complained about it earlier in the thread, but the play where Nebraska's safety, gerry, got ejected in their bowl game had no business being a penalty, let alone an ejection. He came in shoulder first and wrapped up, but his facemask hit the receiver's and he got flagged for targetting.
  2. By generation I mean the past couple years and the next 4ish.
  3. I mean this isn't the generation where you're gonna see it eliminated. Sure it's easy to not do it, but if you've played a certain way for 10 years, in some situations muscle memory is going to kick in and you're gonna lower your head. I'd expect to see the targeting and crowning start phasing out as kids start coming up who haven't ever had it as a part of the game.
  4. Meh, I understand the desire to change the game, but ejections should be for things that are malicious in my book. I think giving everyone one strike and then you're out would be fine, unless the hit is obviously a guy head hunting. Still review the penalty, with three possible rulings: 1. No foul 2. 15 yard penalty, one strike to that player (if ruled to be not malicious, which is entirely at the reviewers discretion, I know) 3. Penalty and instant ejection (for obvious head hunting)
  5. Speaking of awesome football structures, I saw the new vikings stadium in minneapolis that's being built when I was there for thanksgiving. That sucker looks awesome already haha
  6. Yeah, it was actually really cool. Really an impressive building, and that big screen is just.. Wow. They also had a bald eagle fly around during the national anthem which I hadn't seen before. Apparently this one was the only one trained for it in the world or something, there was a short video about it before the anthem.
  7. Well I got lucky and got to be at the Bama-MSU game today. My brother attends msu and got randomly chosen to try a field goal at half time of a game this year. He made it and won two tickets, airfare, and hotel room and invited me along. Sucks that it wasn't close, felt bad for him cause he was just quiet for about 30% of the game. But it was awesome finally getting to see the bama machine and also the jerrydome.
  8. That's.. An idea. I don't really see why it wouldn't be feasible outside of the starting pitchers not liking the disruption to their routines or whatnot.
  9. Now there are sexual offense allegations against evander kane. Shitty year for the sex life of the NHL's Kanes.
  10. That targetting call against Nebraska was actually the worst one I think I've seen yet. Why not just make it flag football? If that play merits ejection then just take everyone's pads and helmets off and make it non-contact. https://vine.co/v/iAEgvEjtdVM
  11. Thought kneels counted as team yards, like sacks. Maybe I'm wrong or its different from league to league. I went up 30 points (thanks for 45 cam newton) with only one player for each of us to go in my semifinal this week. Antonio brown for him and david johnson for me. Then antonio brown went off and got him 45 and I started [expletive] bricks, down 15. But johnson responded with 45 of his own to give me the win by 30. I hadn't seen a 40 point player all year neither for nor against. Now I saw 3 in one matchup.
  12. 1. Clemson unless they lose. 2. Bama unless they lose. 3. Oklahoma for sure. 4. Winner of big ten championship is in for sure. So say UNC beats Clemson handily, do you think they jump into the top 4 over Stanford?
  13. Nebraska really doesn't suck this year. Sure the typical husker fan expects a national championship every year, but its their first year under Riley, so I personally wasn't even expecting a 10 win season. They've lost 4 games in the last 30 seconds of the game, 1 game in overtime, and 1 bad one against Purdue where they still almost came back in the 4th. I think they're gonna be just fine as soon as next year. You could really see the team come together with the MSU win, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them stick with Iowa this week either. [expletive], a win makes them bowl eligible even with all the heartbreaker losses earlier this year. I dunno, I just don't think they suck.
  14. I'd love for Nebraska to help out with regards to the chaos next week if you know what I'm saying.
  15. I'm really hoping Notre Dame doesn't get in as one of the final four at the end of the year. This team has got the same feel as that team that went to the national championship a couple of years back where they lucked out several times throughout the season and got smacked when pitted against the best. I'm just interested in the best teams getting in, and by my eye test, ND isn't top four.
  16. Who cares if anyone smokes weed haha
  17. The nebraska msu game was fun as hell. The players were going nuts on the field right after and the fans, both students and normal fans, all stayed like an extra 20 minutes just dancing and hopping around. I don't give a [expletive] if people think the game winning touchdown was on a bad call, the luck had to go the huskers way sometime.
  18. Indiana is holding their own with iowa too, I like that they don't suck anymore. Not a fan, but I like it when teams turn things around.
  19. Clemson not looking very impressive in this first half
  20. I think the playoff teams are gonna be: osu lsu tcu clemson But who knows, we'll see I suppose.
  21. I would trade [expletive] body parts for the cubs to string together 3 hits just once this series.
  22. I will reserve fatalistic judgement for when we go through the order once or twice
  23. What is our babip this series so far like sub .100?
