  1. If the league continues its "small ball/threes or bust/less contact" trend, how long will it be until comparing the great teams of this era to eras past becomes a futile endeavor simply owing to the fact that the game is so much different? Are we near that threshold already?
  2. Legacy sealed. What a game, what a series.
  3. I'm absolutely wired right now. This front office isn't about waves, it's just one constant tsunami.
  4. I've held off on making a Twitter forever, but I'm finally succumbing to this shitshow. What are some good: Cubs, trade rumor, general baseball, general sports, just solid accounts to follow?
  5. Absolutely demolished. Bryant is on one tonight.
  6. I think Baez has earned the role he has right now. I don't see him going anywhere.
  7. This ump's zone has been consistent, just small. And you're right, Ross has had a couple of really nice frame-jobs that the ump wasn't buying.
  8. I haven't been following torres for as long as most of you (so less of a bias towards keeping him I suppose), but I would trade him and vogelbach for miller in a heartbeat. There's no place for vogelbach on the team, and torres is 2-3 years away from impacting the major league roster, if he does at all. If those two are what it takes to replace Clayton Richard with Andrew Miller on this year's team, count me in.
  9. Zobrist seems like the kind of guy who is a team-streak buster. He will smoothly whack a single when the team has been struggling with RISP for a bit (even a tough couple of innings). Pretty great kind of guy to have in the lineup.
  10. I've only heard the pirates local crew for games against the cubs this year, so take a lot of losing into consideration, but it seems like these guys have such a depressed tone to their voices all the time. Might just be me.
  11. Wow, 3-4 year ago McCutchen would've been "past the bag, walking back" safe on that play.
  12. Yeah, curry handled it well with apologizing immediately. It was just funny
  13. Haha he hit a fan with his mouthpiece when he chucked it in anger
  14. These past few games might be the best all around I've ever seen him play
  15. Lebron is playing out of this world right now
