  1. I'm loving the Heat sucking it this year. Even Hollinger has dropped them to #4 before tonights game. He's still smoking crack. For instance, they are not better than the Bulls based on how they have played.
  2. Korver will come around. But CJ Watson and Ronnie Brewer just aren't going to cut it. Neither guy can hit an open jumper. If they somehow manage to upgrade that and get Luol to stop playing like crap, they are a legit contender with Boozer back.
  3. CNNsi's rankings were just posted with the Bears below TB and two 6-4 teams. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/don_banks/11/23/nfl-power-rankings-week-12/index.html?eref=sihp From that article: So the Bucs, with a negative point differential and no wins over +.500 teams deserve to be in the top 10 because they shutout a bad 49ers team. But the Bears with a positive point differential, and 2 wins over +500 teams are stuck at 12 after shuting out a better Dolphins team. Makes sense. If the Bears beat Philly, then they'd better leapfrog the Bucs. But I'm not going to get too worked up about this right now.
  4. We should start calling him LuBron
  5. White Flag. Korver can't hit a 3 to save his life.
  6. If they come back and win, I'm going to crown them the 2010-11 NBA champs.
  7. What can you do Every 3 is dropping for them, and Korver is missing wide open 3s.
  8. If only Korver were hitting.
  9. Right now, Deng is playing like 1990's Reggie Miller. Except he can't shoot.
  10. Wow Deng just got abused
  11. This team could've beaten Boston, OKC, and San Antonio on the road. I'd like to see a nice road victory. Not just a moral victory.
  12. I dig Lamar Odom. Felt bad for the guy when the Boston crowd was chanting "Ugly Sister"
  13. Rose is sick.
  14. Even the LA crowd is oohing and aahing DRose. Too bad he's missing the shots.
  15. are they? when chris bosh says things like "coach wants us to work, we want to chill. we'll have to meet halfway i guess", i find a hard time believing that. i see a lot more motivation from teams like the lakers and celtics. in both of the boston/miami games, the celts flat out out hustled and outwilled them. the heat looked scared. boston looked like they knew they were the better team and were going to shove it down miami's throats. i question miami's character big time. There's a difference I think between character and motivation. I'm sure people in Toronto and Cleveland would have a lot to say about Bosh and LeBron in this regard. But in terms of a team this hyped wanting to win- there's no doubt about that. The only doubt is whether they are willing to put forth the effort to do it. And if they're not willing to put forth the effort now, then I'm not sure if they ever will be.
  16. Cooley.
  17. I'd give Fitzgerald one more start to see how VJax does.
  18. Ouch. I don't know else what to say.
  19. I concur with Jackson, Johnson (easy) and VJax (not as easy, but what are you going to do. Start Moss?)
  20. So the Heat have been banged up and essentially are playing with a whole new roster. But they are as motivated as any team in the NBA. They have some glaring weakness, particularly inside and in half court offense. So I think its fair to say that they are no longer the runaway pick to win the East, like they were in most preseason predictions. Even based on a measly 14 games. They'll get better, but I don't see any overreactions. Nobody is saying they are missing the playoffs.
  21. I'm sure the Bulls would be hesitant to pull the trigger on that deal. I agree that both Taj and even Deng, as much as I rag on him, are solid contributors to a good team. When you have the chance to get a legitimate superstar, you do it. Especially when you have a chance to do so while already having (and keeping) Joakim Noah, Carlos Boozer, and Derrick Rose on your team. Noah? I'll pass. Deng, Gibson, and whomever else not named Rose or Boozer? Where do I sign? But let's face it. There's no way Denver is taking Deng. Sorry.
  22. I have little faith in winning this game. But if they do, it'll make me a believer. This would be a signature win.
  23. Riley is no dummy. He has no interest in taking over a team that's going to continue to be bad. This is different from the Shaq and Wade team he took over. The expectations are sky high, and he's the one who put the team together. He might take the team over, but he's going to do it if: 1. He actually thinks he could turn it around. 2. The team continues to be so mediocre that it lowers expectations even more. I don't think either criteria is met yet.
  24. They will certainly get better. But right now, they are not a great team, only a decent one. And don't get me started on the stats. Losing to the Pacers at home. Hilarious. I guess Haslem was more important that we thought.
  25. Yahoo frequently amends points the next day. For instance, Ahmad Bradshaw on my team got rightfully credited for the forced fumble on Asante Samuel, only this morning. I might end up needing those 2 points going up against Phillip Rivers tonight.
