  1. Yeah, it's pretty annoying when it's third and long and they have no trouble getting a first.
  2. 3 CB's on IR for the Saints'll do it.
  3. Okay, now we need a cheapie turnover to start pulling away.
  4. The blocking is fine. It's definitely Hester.
  5. No, it's on Orton just like that was on Grossman and Griese in previous seasons. I blame Tillman.
  6. That's on Kreutz. Clearly.
  7. Collinsworth is fine. Phil Simms now... on second thought, let's not go there.
  8. Horrid pass defense there. Ugh.
  9. Graham made a nice play there. I like Tommie Harris's idea there on the delayed blitz.
  10. He's driving me nuts doing that crap. Every game he does it. In all seriousness, he's hurting the team with that awful decision-making. I could live with it when he had the explosion to break a few the last two years. Now it's inexcusable. Moreover, Hester's broken most of his return TD's by making the first tackler miss and blowing past the rest, NOT by running around them. It's just silly to think you can outrun NFL coverage teams side-to-side. You can't. So stop.

  12. To my mind, the Bears don't really deserve to make the playoffs given their inconsistencies and struggles -- many of which were manifestly obvious to frequent posters of the Bears threads. However, while their chances may be slim and many think they may not deserve, all they need to do is worry about winning; the rest will sort itself out. Just win. And don't squib kick ever again (I'm still bitter about that ATL game).
  13. V is the Roman numeral for 5. I've never heard anyone pronounce it as Rule V. Stop being Kyle. Except that using V is incorrect. When you make a reference to a document, as this does, you cite the section correctly. In this case, this is Rule 5 of the Collective bargaining agreement. It's a specific reference -- Rule 5. The Amateur Draft is Rule 4, FYI.
  14. I'm thinking a game in either Columbus or New England is the way to go for Feb. 11.
  15. That was awesome. He nutmegged the keeper. Haha.
  16. Cooper and Altidore looked good together. This fan approves, and I now believe they are -- by far -- the best choices for Bradley up top.
  17. Yes...if true, this source would know what he was talking about. HE? You just cut the number of potential sources in half you fool. Or its an inherant sexual bias... Raisin's sexist? I'm telling his girlfriend on him! Wait, wait, wait. I go away for a couple of months and Raisin has a girlfriend? That's not possible.
  18. Those people were silly (cough, Brinoch). I haven't had a chance to really take a good look at Graham; I'm still a big Vasher fan. And Peanut still sucks, though Vasher sucks more right now. :P (j/k) In general, I believe Vasher and Tillman are a very good set of corners. They've looked bad on more than one occasion because the line has had a tough time getting to the quarterback. That usually starts happening in the late third quarter or fourth quarter... and that's because they are tired. The Bears defense spends too much time on the field. The offense needs to do a better, more consistent job controlling the clock.
  19. I'm a big fan (as many should know by now). I think he'll be a great second corner to P-Nut by next season. By the way, where's Brinoch? Eh? You rang? I'll be on more come November... for obvious reasons. :)
  20. Garza made a nice block, too. First of the game?
  21. That was all Forte and Kreutz. Kreutz opened a hole, and Forte broke a tackle at the line to get that 1st.
  22. Great stop by the D. They've done their job. Time for the O to earn their pay.
  23. They are crappy because they are tired. The turnovers by the offense hurt both immediately and in the long-term.
