  1. Gonna get [expletive] for saying this, you eat at the same place KB did? KB was out all night last night and must have stopped by Flash Taco in Wicker park...
  2. the lineup out there right now looks like something i read about in the dark years... russell cogs and rizzo the only big league bats today ughhhh
  3. I don't think I agree with any of this, actually. He should absolutely learn to throw to first. Not sure how anyone could argue that. It's not that easy. Mental blocks can be very, very, very difficult and sometimes impossible to get over. The mind is a powerful thing. It ain't as easy as saying he should learn to throw to first. The chances of him doing that are very small, no matter how much people want to scream and say "Just do it." No i know people get tanned from the sun but his face is already cherry red, i bet he has a nice relationship with some sort of beverage that hold many dead calories!
  4. http://i.imgur.com/pmdUoqM.png I dont know if i was a millionaire big league future superstar player that is the talk of the town and could cherry pick chicks when i want (although he has a girlfriend) i probably would enjoy many long nights!!!!!
  5. KB needs to stop partying all night before a day game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. The issue with the strategy that the FO has gone with developing the system, the team is that about the only way we will get dominant pitchers is via Free Agency if they dont wanna trade the young talent.... its fucked up because every pitcher we pick up will more than likey be late 20's or older and chances are the best years are behind them.
  7. Yeah but let's see how he finishes the year before we pan him. If he doesn't get it together, well he's had bad years before and has turned it around the next year. True. And I know I'm about to state the obvious but the scary thing is...........we have no choice. I have irrational fears that Jon Lester is mentally rattled. That the big money and the focus on his throwing has gotten him way out of his comfort zone. Yeah, as solid as he seemed to be, something just isnt right with Lester. It could be mental, it could be physical or a mix of both. the only one that truly knows is Jon himself. The fact we have to play ross to caddy for a pitcher who isnt very consistent just adds oil to the fire for me.
  8. Yeah but let's see how he finishes the year before we pan him. If he doesn't get it together, well he's had bad years before and has turned it around the next year. I reserve the right to hate him now and change my mind if he improves I totally agree.. lester has been like dr. jekyll / mr. hyde --- i hope it pours hard .. very hard... so hard they have to call the game before we can get 5 innings in.
  9. Yeah buddy. 3.6 K/9 Sinkerballer... lets hope the cards just forget how to swing this weekend!!!!! go cubs!
  10. every time lester pitches i cringe at the lineup...

    Castro

MLB shortstops: .248/.298/.357/.655 MACKLIN, YOU SON OF A BITCH. so he is slightly above average with the bat... whats the mlb average defense metrics? uh huhh.
  12. usually when i say doom and gloom they win. i know its weird.
  13. I would love to have Chris Sale. I think there's approximately 0.01% chance the Sox trade him. In the event that they do trade him, It would take a different set of players than what you've listed here. It's very likely that the best player that comes back in a deal for Sale needs to be better/more valuable than Schwarber, which for the Cubs means Russell, maybe Baez or Castro if this trade happens in the offseason and they can rehab(physically in Baez's case) their value a bit. You can also throw Bryant in that category with Russell, but Bryant has an even less chance of getting traded than Sale. aside from rizzo russell and bryant i'd give em what it takes.
  14. I honestly can't tell if you like Chris Sale or not. I honestly can't tell if he thinks nobody else knows Chris Sale is absurdly good and on a great contract. i imagine you guys do, and the title of the thread is "WHATS YOUR WISH LIST FOR THE TRADE DEADLINE" and so i guess i cant wish . thanks [expletive]. In that case, sign me up for Sale, Archer, Stanton, Harper, and Trout. Oh, and I guess I'll take Cain while I'm here. harper /archer are on contendors. trout/ stanton we dont need bats. sale his team sucks and the farm they have does too.. its a different thing when comparing the sox to the rest of these teams (aside from the marlins.)
  15. the cubs wont win tonight, the start of a 5 game losing streak incoming.
  16. Why wouldnt you guys trade for him? Do you think that its because the sox wouldnt ever do it? or you think the cubs couldnt get it done? Or there is a lack of interest trading within the town?
  17. I honestly can't tell if you like Chris Sale or not. 18. I would urge you to not think of this in terms of how Cubs fans view their own players, but really question your own mental ledger that you're balancing when coming up with trade ideas. Were will the cubs get a young proven Ace with a team friendly contract from? You gotta give up to get... there is absolutely nothing absurd about a trade like this, maybe over pay a little, but Schwarber would have to be a part of that. The Sox need to rebuild and sale is the biggest asset they have i'd take sale over Cueto/Hamels/other pitchers out there in a heartbeat..
  19. Career line.. 50-32 10.09 K/9 2.93 FiP 4.5 War / Year average over career so far.. -- Proven Ace Pitcher ---
  20. lol typical of us cubs fans to overvalue prospects in the minors and undervalue a player on the sox. out of any pitcher that could be traded for Chris Sale is the best one, thing is the cubs have to over pay to get him. Personally I think its worth it. He would instantly be the best pitcher the cubs have had for years. and he is only 26! that kinda talent is worth a guy with no position (schwarber) and some other guys.
  21. and considering the cubs are gonna restock during IFA, i really dont mind seeing them give up a stud or 2 for one of the best pitchers in baseball.
  22. Chris Sale is one of the top 5 pitchers in all of MLB and is CHEAP 2015 Contract details by year 26 $6,000,000 - $6,000,000 2016 Contract details by year 27 $9,150,000 - $9,150,000 2017 Contract details by year 28 $12,000,000 - $12,000,000 2018 Contract details by year 29 $12,500,000 - $12,500,000 2019 Contract details by year 30 $13,500,000 - $13,500,000
  23. I keep telling ya guys I want them to make a cross-town swap for Chris Sale... One of the best in the biz, I'd give up Castro Schwarber McKinney CJ Edwards Alcantara for Sale Robertson In a heartbeat...
