He just crushed the ball. It would have been gone on a normal day. It was short by 50 feet. The wind would have to be 80 MPH to do that. Castro needs to hit line drives and stop hitting flyouts and grounders (the grounders come from him trying to hit homers ) just hit lasers all day and he'll be fine.. but nope he wants to be a power hitter... someone needs to tell him the Tejada SS days are pretty much over.. get on base/ hit linedrives...

Denorfia has been one of the more consistent bats since he came back from injury, he just dont have that DONG pop so ppl ignore him,.

guys the team is like 13 games over .500 vs. the entire league besides the cards. maddon better work his psychologist magic cuz even if we get to the postseason we gotta get past st. louis. it pains me to say this but they own the cubs.. i think its mental. laugh or say oh boy another sontensei post all you want... but its the truth. also yeah to the offense point, aren't we supposed to have one of the better offense in the game due to the "strategy" of the front office... yeah everyone slumps, but this slump is pretty epic... over 3 weeks + .. almost the entire team besides bryant and coghlan.. is it "fate" that everyone else slumps at the same time? what are the odds other teams have scouted us so well that they have figured out all the other players so well? or is it a lack of talent or that was the talent over achieving for a hot streak? ppl wanna gripe on ejax or the pen when they mess up, but to be honest our pitching has been way stronger overall than our batting all year.. ya ya rookies are learning on the job... what about the vets?? montero, fowler, castro have been terrible since pretty much early/mid june... how does so many players slump so hard at the same time for sooo long? well? thats baseball for ya? really? na, they need to look at the hitting coach.. but... who is better than the cubs can get right now as the everyday guy? manny?
