  1. Sandy Aldridge is looking for a MLB top 10 prospect for Niese lol and people think we can get Thor? bwahahaha no way
  2. if you don't like kanye west you can go straight to hell Kanye can be a jerk, but he is a good artist.
  3. Contreras is the kind of guy you would find in the Cardinals minor league system.. No press, no top rankings pizazz than when someone got hurt, business as usual.
  4. RAWR Not that kind of monster. More like this: http://ak-hdl.buzzfed.com/static/2014-10/12/1/enhanced/webdr04/grid-cell-25602-1413091311-1.jpg naaa, more like this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4yF0u_y4dA
  5. As depth I guess Niese would be fine. I would hope they don't intent to give away anything of value for him, though. Your looking at giving up Baez and Almora for Niese unless its a salary dump The Mets would love to toss Niese out the door to make room for all their young studs, no one is paying that kind of price for him. And if someone does it won't be the Cubs. i hope so., hopefully they can trade some mid level prospects for him.. but i dont know mets need a big league bat.
  6. its like even if we made it going Lester Vs. Cole is just a loss.

  8. Well, then good, because that's not how trades work. Im pretty much on with this statement... its not worth trading out of desperation to fight for a wildcard vs. the Pirates who are just a better team and have one of the best pitchers in the entire game in a 1 game playoff... sorry no thanks... Why dont they give Underwood(guess he got hurt) Edwards a shot to start? I mean they couldnt be worse than Roach?
  9. if he can be grabbed for Vogelbach calibur prospects i'd take him over anything else we have right now in the 4th or 5th slot
  10. If you didn't learn how to spell Samardzija the first 8 years he was in the Cubs organization, you never will. Just call him Shark... really thats why he is bad this year the sox dont call him shark.
  11. What is the latest on Soler? i dont think he started rehab yet.....
  12. Oh yeah cubs better win tonight and sunday!!!!!! tomorrow , im not turning the game on. I'd rather run Duane Underwood out there than roachclip.
  13. i just find it wierd a guy leaves early in 2 day games in the first half of the season with flu-like symptoms than comes back to play the next day like nothing happend? !:)
  14. he actually claims to have never had alcohol, iirc, according to one of the beat writers (can't remember which) the lack of tolerance built up over time explains the constant hangovers lol who went 2 college for 3 years and never had a single drink?
  15. he did... and they had a prenup what a scumbag... http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2011/09/26/boston-red-sox-pitcher-john-lackey-divorcing-wife-battling-cancer/
  16. Everything you need to know about eligibility for post season rosters.  TWEET (10) SHARE (7) PIN With the recent demotion of Phil Coke to triple- A Toledo, the annual questions regarding playoff roster eligibility have begun to surface, as they do every season right about this time. So here is a breakdown of the eligibility rules for playoff rosters. The first part is easy. Any player who is either - on the 25 man major league roster, or - on the disabled list (7, 15, or 60 day DL), or - on the suspended list, or - on bereavement leave, or - on military active duty as of midnight on August 31st, just before major league rosters expand, is automatically eligible to be on the club’s post season roster. In addition, a club can replace any player who is injured at the time that playoff rosters are submitted. So, for every injured player, the club can add a player who was not on the major league roster, or any of the above eligibility lists at the end of August. In order to be eligible to be added in place of an injured player, one need not be on the 25 man roster, nor even the 40 man roster as of August 31. Any player in the organization as of August 31 can be used to replace an injured player, with permission from the commissioner’s office. http://www.blessyouboys.com/2013/8/22/4644062/playoff-roster-eligibility-explained?_ga=1.133332814.1337280475.1435341354

    Castro

2013 was solidly better pretty much across the board other than a higher strikeout rate. That's especially true in the type of contact stats. The good news is that eyeballing the 2013 numbers they look a little unlucky. Castro is just a bum. period.
  21. ohhh i hope so, hendry will make dumb trades to theo!!!!!
  22. its safe chalk this game up as a off day for the team to get ready for the cardinals series.
