    if it costs anyone outside of a Schwarber / Bryant / Russell / Rizzo / Torres / Baez / Soler / Torres / McKinney which it shouldnt then there is no reason in heck that the cubs shouldnt get a guy if for any other reason than to try and get some postseason action, to make the fans happy.. So.... why did you put a comma after action? why do you have nothing to say except some stupid [expletive] about punctuation. this isnt a [expletive] book

    Flores was signed at age 16 to be a met, same as castro as a cub right? they love their team. If Flores crys what would castro do? Probably beat the [expletive] out of you? no that makes absolutely no sense.

    Exactly which is why they need a pitcher even just a journeyman. if they didnt have those 6 beeler / richard starts who knows what the record would be now. the whole "dont sell the future for a wildcard" idea is soo true, but you mean to tell me all of the top say 20 prospects are the future? I think we are seeing a major part of the future at Wrigley already. if it means trading a couple guys who arent contributing this year, (aside from Baez) why dont they do it? Arent they supposed to be restocking with the IFA ? if you ask me anyone who plays C, 1b, 3b in the system can and should be moved if possible, schwarb, bryant rizzo are going no where..

    so in theory say after the season is over he goes back home and works with his pops and whoever else he could potentially enlist (he could probably get anyone with his stature) in theory he could tweak his swing to reduce the uppercut just a smidge right? I think the better bet is the he takes a cue from Rizzo and works on a separate two-strike approach. ahh that would be sweet!

    rangers going after him is a move like the cubs would do looking for a long term upgrade not a rental but i wonder what they give up for him?

    no thats not a root cause lol thats just an excuse. all these super baseball experts on this msg board no one can explain what about a swing causes a guy to make low contact ? if it was experience he wouldnt have had a similar contact rate in the minors, wasnt it something like 67%? uppercut. so in theory say after the season is over he goes back home and works with his pops and whoever else he could potentially enlist (he could probably get anyone with his stature) in theory he could tweak his swing to reduce the uppercut just a smidge right?

    according to MLB tonight Hamels to Rangers will be announced tomorrow.

    they have a surplus of guys in the minors they should at least go get a 5th starter even a leake type. unless you suggest just throw in the towel with 60 games left this season

    wonder if thats due to his swing or what the root cause is? is it something he can fix without having to tweak his swing? or is it just one of those things you say "it is what it is"? Does experience magically make him get more contact? I could understand with pitch recognition or approach at the plate, but the swing, thats something he has been doing so long for so many 1000s of times that i doubt its a matter of more "experience" with his swing.

    good just in time for the cubs to come up there I'd rather him stay in Milwaukee and not going to one of our 2 competitors for a playoff spot if the mets are going for it to a degree, theo has to do something, we have been ahead of them all season in the wildcard Why, exactly? Why do we have to sell pieces of a very bright future to try to beat the Mets for a Wild Card spot? Because its been a long time
