    It's the NFL draft so it's certainly possible that they are trying to drive up the price for Mariotta. The Jets or the Eagles or even the Browns are certainly dumb enough to vastly over pay for that pick. Either way it seems like he is going 2nd to whoever makes that pick.

    Injuries are apart of the game and it's not career or life threatening so I am totally okay with this. Any chance we get to catch up and potentially finish ahead of the Cardinals is fine with me.

    Yeah, that's not going to happen, and you shouldn't want it to happen. The sooner Russell is up here and Jonathan Herrera isn't getting starters' ABs, the more games the Cubs will likely win. I'm not sorry that I am selfish like that. Selfish? If you are a Cubs fan, its not selfish its dumb to want to hurt the team you cheer for so that you can watch a guy play in a relatively meaningless game 2 months from now. not if he's more a fan of watching the iowa cubs than the actual cubs for some reason Well prior to this year the Iowa Cubs were more entertaining to watch then the actual cubs were. But I wasn't really being serious if Russell is major league ready and gets called up before June then great I hope he helps the Cubs out.

    This makes me a little nervous because I was hoping to see him play for Iowa when they come to Round Rock on like June 20th or something like that. I hope it takes him awhile to learn how to play second base effectively so he's still around when I go to the game!

    Hard to have 12 top 50 wins when you don't play 12 top 50 teams. Lol Big 12. Took care of that [expletive] in 2010. This squad is even better. I just pray to god we're in your bracket. Big 12 is the most overrated conference in my opinion. I think Northern Iowa is a better team than Iowa St but chances are they will be seated lower than them.
