  1. PH for Zambrano when his turn comes plz.
  2. Matt Murton v. 2005 would have walked by now.
  3. See Rammy, that's how you do it. Nicely done Ryan!
  4. The worry I have with Pierre is that this organization goes out and finds a manager who comes from the old school. He'll take one look at Pierre and bat him leadoff. Pierre is not an ideal leadoff guy since his OBP is so heavily dependent on contact and infield hits than anything else. As we've seen, the guy gets streaky and doesn't offer much beyond what his speed provides. I'd be fine bringing him back with the understanding that he'd be hitting at the bottom half of the order. But, I doubt this team would do that.
  5. Don't you need an 'A' in there? Doing it the Telemundo way.
  6. Ah well, it was a fun ride while it lasted.
  7. You don't think Z was just having fun out there? I think some one screwed up when it came to the signs.
  8. CB Bucknor actually helping the Cubs? Wow.
  9. Valentin batting leadoff is rather sad.
  10. I wonder if Cedeno is doing okay after Nady took him out yesterday?
  11. He's been tearing apart High A, so it would come as little surprise.
  12. Enjoy the show Nate! Anything you can tell us about Samardzija (stuff, nickname, etc) would be most welcome. :D
  13. Okay, I got caught up in my own stuff back home and will be pushing the risers and fallers list back a day. Sorry!
  14. The Smokies are affiliated with the Diamondbacks. They have a few guys who seem like they could amount to something. I don't think they have any prospects who could blossom into a Stephen Drew or Carlos Quentin, but you never know. The best prospect on the team is probably C Miguel Montero, who's been one of the better catching prospects in the minors this year. C Phil Avlas has also put up some decent numbers. SS Mark Reynolds was recently promoted and he was one of the best players in High A this season. On the pitching side of things, Garrett Mock and Greg Smith are two of the better guys they have on their staff. Mock has good stuff, but gets a bit wild on occasion. Smith had a great performance down in High A, as well, although his stuff isn't overpowering from what I've heard.
  15. I'll take RB Thomas Jones. He's getting traded, you just watch!
  16. Latest list: QB Carson Palmer Tom Brady Michael Vick Daunte Culpepper Marc Bulger Donovan McNabb Peyton Manning WR Marvin Harrison Anquan Boldin Randy Moss Hines Ward Larry Fitzgerald Terrell Owens Chris Chambers Steve Smith Chad Johnson Santana Moss Torry Holt Roy Williams Reggie Wayne Darrell Jackson Donald Driver Joe Horn RB LaDanian Tomlinson Clinton Portis Ronnie Brown Kevin Jones LaMont Jordan Domanick Davis Tiki Barber Julius Jones Steven Jackson Cadillac Williams Shaun Alexander Rudi Johnson Edgerrin James Larry Johnson Willis McGahee Brian Westbrook Willie Parker Corey Dillon Tatum Bell Reggie Bush Deuce McAllister Joseph Addai Jamal Lewis Chester Taylor Reuben Droughns Warrick Dunn Cedric Benson Thomas Jones TE Antonio Gates
  17. yeah, that 2005 era of 4.51 is a spitting image of this year's 3.47. I think he was talking about personel... Still may not be true, just pointing that out. Justin Verlander and Joel Zumaya have gone a long way in helping this club out. Ditto Chris Shelton coming out of nowhere at the beginning of the year. We'll see how they do down the stretch. Some of these guys have never played this many games before in a season.

  19. Hendry doesn't police the clubhouse. He's not paid to be a cop! *Gnaws on own arm*
  20. Quick, trade a dollar for three quarters!
  21. Nah, he's been playing over the last week or so.
