  1. Slacker. It doesn't help that we have wireless hooked up to a DSL modem which is under my downstairs neighbor's name. She has all the passwords and account information and is being incredibly lazy about it.
  2. My internet's down at home and I have no idea when it will be back up. Sorry about the delays and whatnot folks!

  4. Apparently, the Cubs had an agreement with Cincy prior to the Rule 5 Draft that they would select Hamilton and trade him to the Reds in exchange for cash considerations.
  5. Ehhhhhhhh...tough call on that one. His pre-2005 numbers do not do his control problems much justice. He was basically Rick Vaughn in terms of his spike curveball, which would end up anywhere from the catcher's mitt to the fifth row behind the backstop. Prior to 2005, I don't think very many people saw him becoming anywhere near this successful because of his severe control problems.
  6. Box Scores Iowa won 7-2 Box Score Tennessee lost 7-5 Box Score Daytona won 4-3 Box Score Peoria won Game 1 of their DH 2-1 Box Score Peoria won Game 2 of their DH 6-1 Box Score OVERALL: 4-1
  7. Looks like he's making it easy. Trade Jones for a sandwich and make it Pie in Center, Soriano in right, and (hopefully) Murton in left. Sandwich for lunch and Pie for dessert... What's for breakfast and dinner?
  8. Your avatar is hypnotizing. And hilarious, imo.
  9. He broke the sound barrier running for that triple. :D
  10. If that ends up being the case, let me assure you that Dusty will move to the top of my Most-Hated List for trying his hardest to ruin every pitcher who put on a Cubs uniform during his tenure. Cripes, he should have been fired after the Chad Fox debacle. That was inexcuseable. Maybe I missed something with Fox. The guy blew out his arm. I think that had a lot more to do with the rest of his career than his brief stint with the Cubs. He was worked way too often. The day he blew out his arm was the first time he had pitched on back-to-back days. It doesn't take a genius to see that he shouldn't have been pitching then after rehabbing his arm. (or whatever it was that was wrong with him) I'll let another Cubs site explain this:

  12. P Sean Watson and SS Chris Valaika are both rising prospects in the Reds' system who currently play for Dayton.
  13. They...they don't? But...but...but...
  14. Somehow, I'm unsurprised that Z has walked Francoeur.
  15. Box Scores Iowa won 8-0 Box Score Tennessee won 5-2 Box Score Daytona lost 6-4 Box Score Peoria PPD: Rain OVERALL: 2-1
  16. I think part of the problem with the offense today was just pure bad luck. The Cubs had some hard hit balls, but if they were hit too low, they were hit right at infielders. If they were hit too high, they'd get caught up in the wind and become deep flyouts (or, in Mike Cameron's case, a great opportunity to do a faceplant). There wasn't much room for error, you know? If the wind were blowing out, this game would have been a shootout. I'm not too entirely worried about the offense right now; the power's there and they caught a few too many bad breaks today.
  17. Happy birthday Bruce!
  18. He jammed a finger earlier in the season and it might still be bothering him. *Shrugs*
  19. Video This is slowly becoming my favorite video on Youtube. It gets funnier every time I watch it.
  20. With no help from the excellent fielding of Jacque Jones. And Theriot.
  21. Tiring game. Can't say I'm too upset about this one, since Wade Miller managed not to give up 7 ER. I was pretty much expecting a loss.
