  1. Pretty much, although keep an eye on Marwin Gonzalez as time goes on. Teenagers down in Peoria are typically noteworthy, although Gonzalez has a ways to go before being much more than a potential prospect.
  2. Hey El Caballo Ronny Cedeno is better than your shortstop. HAHA okay dude. I didnt come here to argue so I will just leave it at that. Come on now, a Brewer fan coming here in a game like this is like Hitler taking a vacation in Deerfield. Its a 19-5 game, im pretty sure its not a big deal. *Shrug* I've seen worse Brewers fans.
  3. Okay, that made me nearly laugh out loud in the middle of a law school library. I got a coughing fit and got some dirty looks, you'll be happy to know. would you just graduate already One more year after this semester! Okay, that made me nearly laugh out loud in the middle of a law school library. I got a coughing fit and got some dirty looks, you'll be happy to know. And that's what I call karma. Same thing happened to me at work after you posted the "I has a bucket" sea lion for your 16,000th post. http://icanhascheezburger.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/funny-pictures-cat-invisible-gondola.jpg?w=330&h=511

  5. Any time there is a bases loaded opportunity, someone must find a way to get Cedeno ABs. I don't care if you have to put him in stilts, a fake beard, and a Derrek Lee jersey to get it done, just do it!
  6. Erin Andrew must love a man who knows how to use his hands.
  7. Seriously? I thought a few weeks ago it was almost done or something. Zell said he'd open the Cubs' books up to potential buyers (I think three of them?). I'm guessing this means they're getting all of the accounting and valuation done before sending the books out to the potential buyer.
  8. I could go for that. Only if she was doing it while engaging in hardcore lesbian pornography.
  9. Please fill us in for the benefit of those of us who cannot watch the game Yes, please someone transcribe this for us. Cuban: AVERY JOHNSON IS A WHORE! Done.
  10. When Homer decided to get on disability due to gross obesity, yes.
  11. I'd prefer the not okay option. Once Yost begins using his bullpen, Brewers fans tend to react thusly:
  12. Did I just feel another earthquake out here in central Illinois? I swear I just felt this slight tremor...
  13. Nah, having the 2nd best record in MLB and 2nd most runs had me worried we'd be losing too. Shhhhhhhhh...let me overreact. There's too much optimism in this thread tonight.
  14. I just got in. I'm not the only one in shock that this team actually on the winning side of a 6-0 score, am I?
  15. If he does that, then we'll have a legitimate superstar prospect on our hands. I know I'm not the only one who's excited the Cubs have been scouting the Pacific Rim more extensively. This signing is exciting!
  16. It makes plenty of sense. Both have shown they can have success if they have even halfway decent protection. With as weak and porous as the Bears line was, plugging almost any QB would lead to them facing the same damn glaring weakness. Shore up the line, strengthen the running game and Orton and especially Rex can succeed. Rex Grossman and Kyle Ortan are NOT the answer at quarterback. If you want to keep telling yourslef that, then cool. Quite frankly, one of the biggest problems I had with the Bears' draft was that they did not tab Brian Brohm in the second round and they did not draft a project type of QB like Josh Johnson, Kevin O'Connell, or someone else along those lines with one of their late round picks. They might get a passable backup with one of the two guys they tabbed as UDFAs, but there is no heir apparent at starter. I'm glad they passed on Henne and Booty, though.
  17. Oh come on, the Dodgers play the Pirates at least three times a year.

  19. Oh, boy! Maybe we should just give every vaguely promising pitching prospect in this system TJS and get it out of the way.
  20. I can one-up that. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v414/Outshined_One/BluthFamily.gif
  21. Terrible ump, terrible pitching, and a lack of timely hitting? Yep, these are the Cubs we know and love.
