  1. I just realized something: Owen Caissie is Carrot Ironfoundersson.
  2. I hate the idea of it, but I'm admittedly curious what Steele would fetch on the trade market. If the only way this team gets a superstar bat is through the farm, then trading Steele might actually be worth it, especially considering the Cubs seem set up to churn out quality pitchers for the next 2-3 seasons.
  3. The $1b question in my mind right now is, how much of an overhaul does this roster need to be in playoff contention in 2025? In other words, does this team just need to suck it up and right the ship with a retool in the offseason, or should it get blown to smithereens with every non-SP on the table at the deadline?
  4. IFL Angel Reese.
  5. They have an annoying roster crunch coming in the offseason, too. If they do a sell-off, ready yourselves for a series of Yu Darvish type deals for lottery tickets in Low A.
  6. I'm at the point where I'm wondering if he'd be a good trade candidate. I loved him last season, but it's so obvious that he's struggling at the plate and isn't the answer at 3B.
  7. We might see Busch in the game as a RP at the rate this is going.
  8. Yep, that's definitely Quintana on the mound.
  9. MLB Pipeline with a new mock Next three picks were Cam Smith, King, and Benge. Christian Moore went 12.
  10. Can't wait to see him develop into a perennial All Star after the Bulls trade him for pennies on the dollar in two years.
  11. MLB's Combine Day 2 Writeup Some notables:
  12. Sounds like it's Russell Wilson's job to lose in Pittsburgh.
  13. It's also worth pointing out that COVID kinda sorta wrecked amateur baseball and player development for a few years. Granted, some teams did a better job drafting and developing players than others, but horsefeathers got nigh on apocalyptic for awhile there.
  14. Maybe Miller did us all a favor by giving up a granny instead of a bases-clearing double? That inning felt like it was never going to end.
  15. I'll take it, but blech. This bullpen needs an enema.
  16. I get that Leiter did Miller dirty by loading the bases, but holy crap.
  17. Oh man, I'd kill for Dansby to finally turn the corner. Let's hope this hasn't been an outlier.
