IF Kyle Reynolds and RHP Blake Parker promoted from Tennessee to Iowa. 1B Ryan Keedy and OF Francisco Guzman promoted from extended spring training to Daytona. Had to look up Guzman. 21 year old who put up decent, but not particularly noteworthy numbers in the DSL last season. Profile. I expected Keedy to start the season in Peoria or Daytona, so it's good to see him moved up. I was vaguely hoping the Cubs would have promoted Ridling to Daytona over him, but ah well.

I'd go, but I have a final at 8:30 AM. :banghead: I'm thinking of dropping in on Thursday or Friday. Final at 8 30 you could still make it to the 2nd game. Im trying to find someone to go with, but it sucks when all your friends are actually working while Im laid off ha. The Chiefs' web site doesn't show a specific scheduled starting time for Game 2. That makes me think it's probably a straight doubleheader rather than a day-night. I don't think I've ever seen a day-night DH in the time I've been following the Cubs' minor leaguers.

RHP Ryan Searle is doing quite well in Daytona. LHP Cody Hams,RHP Adam Spencer, and OF Sean Williams are all currently down in extended spring training. We'll probably hear from them more often once Boise and Mesa start their seasons. For now, we have to rely on Arizona Phil's reports.

Would you mind checking some of the BA Cubs' Top 10 lists? I want to say he's the scout who was attached to guys like Pie, Ceda, Castillo, and Castro, but I can't check. It's been driving me nuts.

I don't know much about Jose Serra's scouting past, although his name really sounds familiar. He was promoted back in January of 2008 from area scout, as memory serves me. So, all we have to go on are his signings last year, of which there were three notable names... 3B Joel Altagracia, Dominican Republic (age 16) - $140,000 bonus SS Carlos Henry, Dominican Republic (age 16) - $110,000 bonus C Ricardo Parra, Venezuela (age 17) It'll probably be awhile before we know whether or not this guy is full of it.
