  1. I love hearing that chant and the ensuing boos from Braves fans.
  2. And if the ump hadn't called that a HBP, Wells would still have a perfect game. See? I can do it, too. Go Kosuke!
  3. He's been pitching since 2004. 6 innings in 2003 between Mesa and Lansing. He wasn't converted to pitching full-time until 2004, iirc. He had a number of ABs between Lansing and Mesa in 2003.
  4. I know that. I'm saying that if his bat was not in the way, it probably would have hit him.
  5. Hey, Escobar might have gotten a hit on the next pitch. You never know. He also probably would have taken that pitch on the chin if his bat wasn't right there. Yeah, that ball was at least a foot from his head. Looked like he had the bat close to his head/chest when it hit him. I'll have to watch the replay to double check.
  6. Who are we dying to get onto the roster? Jason Dubois or Doug Deeds!!!!!!!!!!!1111111

  8. So, Bradley out for another month if he's day to day?
  9. Apparently it was Renteria. I think Lilly beaned Escobar last year and got the benches to clear.
  10. Got Lilly tossed for a barely-inside pitch in 07, then elbowed Fontenot in the face trying to steal second. Wasn't that Renteria?
  11. Came up limping a bit on a close play at 1B and hobbled his way off the field on his own. Could be nothing, could be a torn ACL.
  12. Yes, good that one of the better hitters on the team is hurt so an inferior hitter against righties can play. Bradley is good? Have I missed the first 60 games of this season or something? I'd rather have Hoffpauir, Fox out there I have my doubts that Fox will hit .268/.348/.439 over the course of a month in 80+ ABs.
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we need Alex Wilson's permission to draft him again? Correct. However, the Cubs have re-drafted a number of players, including Andrew Cashner last year. It's part of their M.O., especially in recent drafts. You see it happen every now and again.

  15. I think they're dead tired. That whole 12 games in 8 days thing without an off day must have wreaked havoc on everyone.
  16. The Cardinals are playing exactly to their pythag. And I think they have had a lot of overachieving that wont hold up. Putting Pujols on the DL for a bum ankle would do a lot to correct that.
  17. Second AB. He had a PH appearance yesterday.
  18. And he's staying in the game.
  19. Pujols comes up limping after a hard slide into second.
  20. I've been reduced to watching Cardinals/Reds out of sheer boredom.
