  1. More negative [expletive] in the wrong thread, no less. Get rid of this guy The mods are having a feats of strength tournament to determine who gets to ban JeffH. So far, Fred's in the lead after the keg toss. Dude's buff.
  2. Darn. I kind of liked Kolten Wong. Now he sucks and I hope he falls off a bridge.
  3. Apparently Chris Reed's signing bonus will come from a hat being passed around Dodger Stadium.
  4. We'll have to wait and see how the supplemental 1st shakes out, which might take awhile considering the Rays have like eight billion picks between now and the end of today.
  5. I think I'd slot Javier Baez in at #4 on my list, assuming he signs.
  6. Rounds 2-30 tomorrow, 31-50 Wednesday.
  7. Possibility of sticking at SS or being an above average defensive 2B/3B. Fastest bat in the draft per BA with raw power to go along with it. One of the higher upsides in this draft.
  8. So far today, I've read that Baez's best attributes are: Power Potential Bat Fielding And his worst attributes are: Power Potential Bat Fielding Attitude :-s
  9. BA threw out a Brett Lawrie comp for Baez awhile back. I like.
  10. Vitters 2.0? Vitters didn't have contact issues. Vitters also had 30-35 HR power potential. Baez's swing seems to be more line drive-oriented.
  11. Huh. Apparently some scouts think Baez could be a good catcher.
  12. 50, but teams frequently stop picking some time before then.
  13. Agile MIF who profiles best at 2B, where he should be above average defensively. Aggressive approach, developing power, still room left to grow. He has a good upside, but it'll take him some time to get there.
  14. Brett Jackson was not a surprise, Gammons.
  15. I want someone who won't get his Wikipedia page defaced when the Cubs pick him.
  16. Projects to be a great defensive SS, but there are questions about his bat. Depending on who you ask, either he's a guy with patience and developing power, or he's a an aggressive contact-oriented hitter with good plate coverage and not a whole lot of power in his swing. In other words, he's the kind of hitter I'd rather the Cubs avoid.
  17. Lindor off the board. Whew. Jed Bradley here, please.
  18. I'm worried. The elite guys are off the board and this is a deep draft. We might get another Colvin-type pick here.
  19. Mike Quade: The Gift That Keeps Giving
  20. Love the audible sigh there, Bud. You don't sound happy with that one.
  21. Bradley. Or, we could take the Vikings' approach and pass on the next few picks.
  22. Anthony Rendon has one hell of a posse.
