    Wildcard Weekend

They are having some real problems snapping.
  3. no he wouldn't Didn't say he would. Said he could. oh ok. then no he couldn't. Why not?

    Wildcard Weekend

    Yikes. That was ugly.
  5. maybe they'll thrown in felix hernandez too :lmao: Honestly though, Seattle would be a good fit for patterson. The huge dimensions would allow him to use his speed very well on both offense and defense.
  6. I'll give him credit for this: -Aramis Ramirez trade -Nomar Trade -Dumping Hundley I wont give him credit for this: - The three french outfielders - Jose Macias ever being on the team - Augie Ojeda getting a Minor league contract - Farnsworth for...who? - 70 year contract to maddux - Letting wood stay on the field when they KNEW he needed surgery - Not making this team better as a whole.
  7. 94 wins. :D this just in: you suck.
  8. Mr Kasper, Are you as scared as the rest of us that we are really going to suck due to Hendry's new found love for guys who can "catch the ball"?
  9. I love it when my worst fears are confirmed. It's so exhilarating.
  10. Mr Hendry, Why do you make me cry.
  11. Did they forget to add in the 12 mil we had to pay sammy? EDIT: Also, nomar did not make the full 11 million because he did not meet all of his incentives, i beleive. so that would scratch 2-3 mil of the expected payroll.
  12. We need to bring that "die plz" emoticon back.... :P Honestly though, say something like that again and i'll cyber break cyber kneecaps
  13. I understand patterson probably needs to be traded. But I still think he's going to be a great player. It'll be sad that he wont do it with us.
  14. I think we could get decent talent out of boston for him considering their gaping hole in center.
  15. And there is the #1 question to be asked  LMAO!!!
  16. Modzilla's avatar is the coolest one on this bd. http://www.northsidebaseball.com/PremiumForum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=900 Holy crap, that is sweet!
  17. Yea, he'll make it and dusty will find a way to start him opening day and i will hate my life.
  18. I'll give you one that blows hendry's mind: Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig didnt talk to each other for five years, displaying bad team chemistry, but they both still did really good.
  19. Hmm. Ted Williams, Ty Cobb, Stan Musial, Lou Gehrig, etc., weren't as good as Sammy? thats the top five homerun list. I'm not saying that those are the top five players all time... I'm saying that he is grouped up there with some very very good players. Also, I agree with what Cpatt said a couple threads back, Why must those who dislike sammy so much go out of their way and into a thread titled "Sammy sosa appreciation thread" to bash. And yea, the last sentance was "does anybody else miss sammy" So what? That was an invitation for others to share their sammy stories, if he wanted to talk about who did and didnt like sammy the thread would have been titled "Lets discuss the pro's and cons of sammy"
  20. Wilson @ 1/$4mil >>>> Jock @ 3/$.01

I love Augie Ojeda to death, but seriously, why in the blue hell are we even thinking about possibly maybe giving them a chance?
  22. I think Sammy Sosa version 2003 can be added to this list. He was past his prime but did well enough to help the team that year, especially w/ a couple crucial homers in the playoffs. Can rick Aguilera be added?
  23. Hell yes. Its really sad how Sosa fell from glory. He deserved so much more than what alot of the fans around here gave him. And whats more sad is no one will ever beleive his side of the story about the corked bat incident, nor will anyone ever beleive he did not take steroids, though there has been no evidence pointing towards that. Reguardless of how the rest of his career plays out, he is still one of the best players to ever play this game. Hank Aaron Babe Ruth Barry Bonds Willy Mays Sammy Sosa Thats some damn good company.
  24. I'd be fine w/ number two. Well, except murton platooning. Sad though, we coulda just kept clement.
