  1. Can they get there without them but only if one of the following happen: 1. Maddux continues to be a 40-year old stud, Marshall continues to succeed, Guzman replaces Rusch and suceeds/Rusch can put up a sub 4 era, and the offense stays hot. or 2. We somehow keep our heads in the race untill the deadline and trade for a Good starter.
  2. Hooray for my fantasy team
  3. Dude is Tearing it UP so far. He's kinda like Yoda. He walks out with a cane, kicks ass, then walks off slow. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_118120.jpghttp://www.cis.upenn.edu/~tilman/yoda.gif
  4. Happy Birthday to da Brucizzle
  5. So in a thread about woods rehab throwing today we have heard: Some people like wood and think he'll be good. Some people dont like wood and think he sucks. Then on page three we found out he looked good. great.
  6. "And some disturbing news for the cubs, Kerry wood will miss his next start....Cubs say this is not related to elbow injury....only expected to miss one start" I thought i had turned on ESPN for while...
  7. Well, I'm pretty sure that the common consensus here will be (i havent read the whole thread, just the first few posts) that he should stay down in the Minors to get some more work. But like Serena said back on page 1, if hes going to be starting, then by all means bring him up. If he tears it up, then maybe Baker lets him stay in that position even after Jones is ready. If not, then so be it, he can go back down and continue playing in the minors. I just dont want him sitting on the bench.
  8. I don't get it. My girlfriend is the art history student in the household. Its Don Quijote. He's a spanish mythical figure who ran around on, more or less, a wild goose chase, under the beleif he was a knight. Basically, he was chasing something that wasnt there.
  9. Ok, so i'm not gonna lie. I hated that we got Pierre. I was sure we overpaid. And I never liked him. But god do i love him this year.
  10. Thats outstanding. I really like our pen this year (minus wuertz)

  12. not an RBI You're late to the party.
  13. Seconded I'd like to say a walk scored that run and it helped that the guy had a little speed. If he doesn't get on base running fast to the dugout is of little value. without the SB, Pierre is on third. Without Walker's single he'd still be on second. Without the walk he wouldn't have been on base at all. The steal helped get the run, certainly, but it's merely a single link in the chain of events the plated Pierre. What he said. It would be more true to argue that OBP scored that run. A walk got Pierre on base, and a hit drove him in.
  14. well, thats an unsexy way to do it, but it worked. also, Barrett seriously needs to invest in new bats.
  15. Haha, walkers on my fantasy team yay.
  16. how did marshall give up his runs?
  17. Haha. He is 6-6 6 foot of that is just leg.
  18. Jesus, you dont notice it when he's pitching, but Marshall looks like he's on stilts up there in the battersbox.
