  1. This day FREAKIN ROCKS. I asked, and was accepted upon my offer, to take the girl i like to prom AND my hero is going to make the team. :jive: :stickman: :willynilly:
  2. Good luck in the baseball game tomorrow, chicago cubs.
  3. HAHAHAHA your avatar is amazing.
  4. Hahahaha, I love Dempster. He's hilarious.
  5. Hahaha, Piniella has to be one of the least photogenic people ever. He's always doing something stupid.
  6. Bruce, a couple questions... 1) is Barrett fighting a minor injury? I haven't seen much of him lately 2) is there any chance of Theriot beating out DeRosa for starting 2B? I think I remember Bruce saying that Theriot will be a utility man, no questions asked, and the SS/2b spots are already definite. I may be immagining things though..
  7. I drive a grand marquis. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/KingJME/Picture1-1.jpg
  8. Who isn't ahead of Prior? Winter ball or not all the starters at this point are pitching well. Yes, but I believe Jon was getting at the fact that they are both players with an injury filled past, and that Guzman is a little farther along in his rehab. Guzman is ahead of prior in that he was able to pitch the end of last season, plus winter ball (though the pitch that used to be his best still isn't there), where as prior just started pitching games a week ago for the first time since august or whenever.

This game will also be broadcast on XM178
  10. There's ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with short girls, so long as they're not stubby. I'd take a 4'10" girl with a hot body over a 5'10" girl with a hot body anyday, and I've dated both. It doesn't take a lot of imagination to figure out why. I couldn't date a girl almost 2 feet shorter than I am. Both weird and ackward. Of course, 5'2" was a different story, so maybe I'm wrong. But seriously, I was taller than that when I was 8. I dunno, I'm 6' 4" and i'd totally date a 4'10" girl. In fact, i know one that i'd like to. But thats another story.
  11. - Sammy quoted at Friday's games against the Cubs Love him or hate him, there's one thing everyone can agree about Sammy - There's no "I" in Sammy as he's all about the team. Never miss an opportunity to bash him, do you?
  12. Why? He improved a couple MPH over his last started and mixed in some breaking stuff. It's progress. nevermind, i was given the wrong info, i thought he was only throwing 85 today. Oh, no. He was consistantly throwing 86-87-88

  14. Better movement on the FB too. Now he just needs the command. I expect his 4-seamer will be in the low 90s by the end of ST. Yeah, from the reports from his last start, he's hitting 87-88 a lot more often then he did last time out. Which is progress. Especially if the 82-83 mph reports were true. Even if he really was hitting 85-86 last time. Its still an improvement, and a fairly good one for such a short time span.
  15. Ah hell now he's getting crushed. Well, if he's hitting 87/88, i suppose thats better than 85/86 topping out at 89 last start.
  16. whats the hardest he's thrown so far? The hardest I've seen is 87. Which I suppose isn't that terrible.
  17. I admit I hated his signing at first, but I dont think there is very much he has said thus far that I disagree with.
  18. Wow, this is a tough one. -Beyonce has an incredible body. -So does Shakira -I probably think Beyonce is more attractive -But the way Shakira makes her body move is beyond amazing. -Musically they're both "okay" -Beyonce is dating Jay-Z, one of my favorite people in the music industry Beyonce wins. Barely. That being said, I'll take both.
  19. I was waiting for you to show up in this thread! I was too busy celebrating his 2-3, with a walk, 0 K performance to show up right away :-)
  20. Best of luck to sammy, and I hope he has the courage this time, to come to wrigley. I'd hope he'd get a warm reception. Yea, because it was his lack of courage that stopped the orioles from playing the cubs in '05. You know, it didnt have anything to do with the way the schedule was made or anything. He sat out of the series vs. white sox. Because of a "sore toe" or something like that. Have you forgotten that? Have you forgotten that the Sox don't play in Wrigley? And Sosa has notoriously had a problem with his toe throughout his career, he had a problem with it when he was still on the Cubs. It wasn't something new he cooked up to get out of coming to Chicago.
  21. Well, I'll likely miss the first two or three innings of the game, which should put me home just in time to see Prior. Speaking of Prior, what do you guys feel you "need" to see out of him today. I'm personally happy if his arm is attached and he is throwing 85, but in all seriousness i'd like to see him consistently work between 87-90. If he can top 90 then great, if not, I don't care. At the same time, I don't care if he gets roughed up, as long as he has some velocity and can locate a pitch or two. EDIT: On a related note; I wonder if they'll have a radar gun visible on the screen? I hope so.
  22. I'm still pissed that I have to see Lilly pitch on opening day! Also, I would really hope that rotation spot goes to prior. I suppose we'll see how he plays today.
