  1. Half an hour left, I'll check it when i get to work when i have a chance.
  2. Of course we do, what the hell good is cake if you cant eat it!
  3. Seriously, I think so. I met him at the cubs caravan two years ago and i shook his hand and all that. And while, of course, everybody is pleasant, he seemed genuinely happy. Him and Michael Barrett both. They were both just exuded happiness and genuine kindness.
  4. Thanks for the heads up on Lincecum, i know he went undrafted, so I'll probably pick him up. Oh, and here is my second team, as promised. I'm not sure I like the league set-up (my buddy created it, it's on MLB.com). But it's just me and a group of friends so I figured I'd give it a try. It's set up a lot like a football league with team defense, or in this case, team pitching. C- Ramon Hernandez 1B- Travis Hafner 2B- Dan Uggla 3B- Troy Glaus SS- Stephen Drew OF- Carl Crawford OF- Vladimir Guerrero OF- Matt Holliday P- Milwaukee Brewers Bench Bn- Howie Kendrick Bn- Yuniesky Betancourt Bn- Morgan Ensberg Bn- Nick Johnson Bn- Nick Swisher Bench Bn-Arizona Diamondbacks (P , ARI) Now, I really didn't mean to draft Nick Johnson. I meant to draft Nick Swisher, but clicked the wrong Nick. Luckily, Swisher held on till my next pick, so I grabbed him then.
  5. hahaha, that always makes for a fun thread.
  6. Yeah, I wasnt sure exactly where Milledge and Sanchez were as far as starting/sitting so i picked them up with my last two picks. Oh, and I just looked and saw that Brian Giles and Jacque Jones both went undrafted. I love public leagues. Anyway, guess who I'm picking up as soon as they go off waivers.
  7. As it turns out i'm stupid, and i was only making room for one series prior to the home opener. Therefore I'll actually be seeing the #2 starter pitch the home opener and the april 15 game... Any ideas who that'll be? Prior? Hill? Piniella was talking about going R,L,R,L,R...so that might mean hill.
  8. Hahaha, Poor Uber. He's 0-4 against me.
  9. :-s....he has 59 career steals...He only had 1 last year. Only once in his career has he had more than 10... Even by that metric he's not valuable.
  10. I did a public league this morning, basically to practice for the draft I'm doing this evening. Anyway, its a 12 man league. Anyway, here's the team I came out with, I'm pretty pleased: C- Kenji Johjima 1B- Derrek Lee 2B- Howie Kendrick 3B- Miguel Cabrera SS- Stephen Drew OF- Jason Bay OF- Magglio Ordóñez OF- J.D. Drew Util- Matt Murton BN- Akinori Iwamura BN- Lastings Milledge SP- Brandon Webb SP- Félix Hernández RP- Akinori Otsuka RP- Ryan Dempster P- Mark Prior P- Ervin Santana P- Zach Duke BN- Kei Igawa BN- Humberto Sanchez BN- Mark Buehrle Overall I'd say i have a very solid team, with quite a bit riding on some young guys. Anyway, its a 12 team league. How do you guys think i did? I'll post my second draft tonight after it happens.
  11. On a related note, Hendry needs a new shirt.
  12. I always wonder when someone with a last name starting with K names their children K first names. Especially when they butcher a regular name in order to make it start with a K...
  13. yay, Jacque is already working on his poor base running!
  14. I hated the Lou signing when it started, but everything I read from him is positive. I like him a lot so far.
  15. Thanks, captain! :salut:
  16. Dusty could never make it as a Little league manager....
  17. Some of you guys must have a gift for getting through. I'm all done for the day, but i'm hearing a lot of people say they haven't gotten in once. And they all had like 20 windows open. And yet only a few have asked me to get tix for them. I don't know how, but I can get through. Haha, if the Cubs make the playoffs, I'm going to have to get your cell number. Oh crap, if the cubs make the playoffs this board will shutdown on ticket day...
  18. So I just looked at the schedule and i'm a little upset now, chances are I will see the same person pitch twice in a row. Whoever our #4 starter is will be up for the Home opener, then i'm going again on April 15 v. the reds..which is exactly 5 games later, he'll be due up again. Here's to hoping It's Rich Hill and not marquis/Lilly.
  19. Has Tree gotten in yet? Or does he have his syringe at ready?
  20. Single is the way to go on this day...
  21. oh that pole could be a pain in the ass, but we'll see. Either way. OPENING DAY WOO..
  22. What section are you? 236-2 on Opening day 219-3 on april 15
  23. starting march 15th they go chronologically, so that will only be for opening day...the later in the season your tickets are, the later they will come. Well I got openning day and April 15...they should come pretty soon :-D
  24. Also...Does anyone know what that website is where i can see what the view from my seats will be?
