  1. Seriously? What bathroom DID you go to? I've been to bathrooms all over the park and I can't think of one without the big trough.
  2. Relax. Barrett was a good hitting catcher and the pitchers had an ERA of over 5 with him as a catcher, while Blanco/Hill saw an ERA of around 2.00. Besides, they have been winning since they traded Barrett. They have been winning in spite of the catchers terrible offense. Didn't Hill throw one into center that kept that inning alive that turned into the 3 runs for the Pirates, too? Hill's defense is also horrid. We traded away the worst catcher in the division for the worst in the world. We didnt trade Barrett for hill, though. But I agree. Barrett was having a bad year. But he was still hitting far better than Bowen and Hill combined. And, yes, barrett's defense was pretty bad, but Hill and Bowen havent shown they are too much better. I'd wager that Barrett would have thrown out that baserunner today. Actually, he wasnt. I can remember several times when he would whiff at a pitch in the strike zone that the batter didnt swing at. Barretts shorcomings have been obscured by a myriad of other problems though...that and he has always been given the benefit of the doubt by reporters since he has been a stand up guy. I think Barrett was a quality person but a liability as a catcher. see Koyie Hill and Rob Bowen Again, Ill defer to the Cubs ERA without Barrett vs when he caught. I wouldn't if I were you. Not going to tell you much of anything. We should have a "CERA is Worthless" sticky. I didnt realize pitching and defense was unimportant. But whatever. Dont let me stop you guys from piling on. Who said pitching and defensee were unimportant?
  3. damnit soriano. Come on Theriot/lee. Let's do something here.
  4. Here is our best chance to score, our best hitters coming up. OOOOOoohhh...got a break there.

  6. Hopefully he just lets him get Wilson, let a LH PH come up, then bring in Ohman since 3 of the next 4 hitters would be LH. That sounds mighty nice, but that's logical. He's going to let Z get up to 140 before he takes him out. That also assumes that the Pirates don't do something crazy like let Chacon hit. Seriously, why teh hell did they do that?
  7. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Z gave it a ride...but looks like he got it off the end of the bat.
  9. And here is what I lvoe about Z. He can pitch like total ass, and still put up a quality start.
  10. Len speculated that he felt wierd/uncomfortable from the wind-up, so he went to the stretch. He pitched a 1-2-3 5th from the stretch. What's his fastest pitch been today? Honestly, im too lazy to put my contacts in and my glasses are a little old...so i cant see. haha.

  12. Well, that coulda been a lot cooler, but i'll take the run.
