He's got pretty good numbers, but he seems to walk quite a bit, so hopefuly we'll be patient. Yeah, we're patient enough to take his walks and hopefully we'll get a couple of hits to drop in in that massive outfield.

Plus they have randy Johnson back - what are we, like 1 and 327 against him? Cripes. **According to baseball reference Randy Johnson is 12-0 with a 1.98 ERA against us in 13 starts** I don't care how old he is, he will probably still own us if he hasn't been carried off the field in a stretcher by the time we play them.

The Dodgers, D-Backs, and Padres always give us a headache. If we can get out of this block at or near first place, then I will be a true believer. That would be great. But even if we come out within 2 games of first, we can take the division because after that our schedule isn't bad at all.

That's what scares me though. Their offense is a joke, but peavy and young have th ability to shut anybody down.

Well, san diego will be tough, as will arizona. But we've already proven we can beat colorado once, and without a botched double play we very well could have beaten them twice. Plus we get to play them at home. The dodgers are good but with our offense I think their pitching staff is beatable. If we can play .500 through that stretch then I think we'll be fine.
