  1. Espada and Bard are my top 2. Totally down with that. As others have said, aside from his lack of experience coaching, I'd be concerned that Ross' preexisting relationship with so many of the players on the current team could be a liability. Ross is certainly out because the Ricketts are definitely not fans of covering preexisting conditions
  2. The only in-game moment I remember from the end of 2004 is losing 2-1 in a game Prior dominated. The rest of mostly just a blur of saying "We just need to go 5-5, there's no way we can miss then." that was the moment for me and perfectly enough, it's starting to feel like 2-1 reds on wednesday night because the 2004 moment was also against the reds
  3. Trading one of the team's best players who didn't make anything for O'Neill and Bader is certainly a strategy. No argument here but it was ownership call. Not a rebuilding move. I don't think any Cards fan I know liked that trade. Now nor when it happened. [tweet] [/tweet]
  4. Zobrist leading off tonight and apparently Willson's already back from his rehab assignment
  5. Were they close to a playoff atmosphere during the 2016 wild card game?
  6. [tweet] [/tweet] a little late for the Belmont Stakes
  7. IIRC Morrow is pretty vocally liberal. It's basically him and Sean Doolittle. All the damn liberals want to get paid for not working! Yes, I am joking. hell yeah [tweet]https://twitter.com/2Morrow23/status/827993065126129664[/tweet]
  8. "open a mayonnaise factory" is legitimately hilarious
  9. With Molina catching, Cardinals pitchers's NL rankings are 10th in FIP and 9th in WAR with below average framing to boot. He's literally been a negative to their staff. The defensive plus rating which you referenced is 29th in baseball behind defensive wunderkind Victor Caratini
  10. He's a cardinals fan. All makes sense now
  11. Why? He's not a guy who's likely to age well. Being done with him after the 2021 season seems like a pretty good time to part ways.
  12. how is this bigger than any game played against the brewers or cardinals?
  13. [tweet] [/tweet] I'll always love Z but goodness was he a hot head. For as annoying as this season has been, at least they (sans Russell) aren't dislikable like the 2004 Cubs.
  14. only 11(!!!!!) hit over 30 HRs in 2014
  15. happy bobby Bonilla day from this underrated twitter account [tweet] [/tweet]
  16. My 3 year old thought it was the funniest thing ever when he said, “let’s get some cookies” in instead of runs! My 33 year old self feels the same
  17. See what Memphis wants for Conley or hope Reddish is there. I can't wait for them to draft a player based on how well they get back on defense. They're going to end up drafting Rui Hachimura whom, I believe, is ovverated, that'll be the cherry on top of the whole useless franchise. fixed that for you
  18. It's sadly pathetic that I'm shocked when they don't have that horsefeathers all over their twitter feed
  19. [tweet] [/tweet] there's not a chance in hell that I would recognize brad brach or mark zagunis on the street I also thought the same about chatwood but then I realized he'd be easy to notice because there'd be a ton of people walking around him
  20. [tweet] [/tweet] tommy's reaction after knowing Theo and Jed's shenanigans
  21. Ricketts during the rebuild http://68.media.tumblr.com/3b7723f769d00556557ba391af53ff70/tumblr_ol1frrusdJ1rohg16o1_500.gif Ricketts to Theo last offseason
