    It is my opinion that the off season moves are far from completed. I have no idea what JH still has in mind, but I think this team will look drastically differant then the one we are looking at right now.

    How can the Cubs be in that bad of shape ? The proposed budget still has about 18-20 mil. to spend. How can we down to the options of Jones or Encarnacion? Something has to happen here. I hope!!

    Usually by now,the Cubs have added some roster fills for Iowa. I havent heard of any signings yet. Are the Cubbies dragging behind in this area too?

    The list of Rf'ers is indead getting smaller. I hope this doesnt come down to a choice between Preston Wilson and Juan Encarnacion.

    Franco would be a good bat off the bench, but I think there is a need for somebody who can more than pne position. Franco, at this point , is only a 1b.

    How much money is left to spend after signing Howry, Mabry, Eyre, and trading for Pierre? Should be enough to acquire a decent starting pitcher. I vote for Weaver.

    I dont believe that trading will happen. I cant see anybody taking a chance on him until they see if he can even throw. 12.5 million reasons why not.

    I believe JH is a better trader than he is at signing FA's. It wont be the end of the world if Furcal signs elsewhere.

    I dont think you can get Burnitz as a 4th Of at 1 mill. From what I have read, he has invested his money wisely and is planning to retire unless someone comes up with a decent offer that appeals to him.
