    I wonder who Fake Joe is planning to close if the Cubs are still up. Assuming Strop will pitch the 8th if all goes smoothly. Cishek, Edwards and Wilson all pitched in game 1. I doubt they will use Carl in both games so probably Cishek or Wilson depending on matchups unless they get really crazy and use Maples or stupid crazy and Duensing

    You can’t count on Smyly and if he does come back there’s a decent chance it’s only as a reliever. With Darvish, it’s always tricky when you are coming back from triceps injuries. I’m thinking it’s likely but certainly not certain he comes back

    Haven’t watched a ton of this but turned it on last inning and Len made a comment about how the Cardinals hadn’t been retired in order all day and I was trying to wrap my brain around how with only 1 hit and then I remembered Chatwood started.

    yeah this team has shown no capacity to come back from multi-run deficits this year.

    If Lester regresses like his numbers say we are really screwed. He will regress (or is regressing based on his last couple starts) but hopefully its to around a 3.50 ERA pitch and not a 4.20 ERA guy. Hendricks I'm not sure how to feel about. It's not like he's lost his stuff, it seems like he has lost the command of his stuff. He will either get it back and go back to being a solid #2 starter or he wont and continue to fade to a back of the rotation guy. If the rest helped Q's shoulder he should be fine and able to live up to expectations. The rest is a mess. Monty has been awful his last 3 starts, Chatwood is a lost cause and I've given up expecting Darvish to come back this year...if he does great. Yeah its quite a mess overall
