    I just realized that after all the drama about the rotation this year, all 5 of our primary starters have ERAs under 4 for the season Hamels - 1.57 (or 3.67 combined w Texas) Lester 3.43 Hendricks - 3.55 Montgomery - 3.87 Quintana - 3.95

    I have to say that this is a brilliant horsefeathering performance by Hendricks. He is in complete control to a degree we’ve only seen a handful of times in his career

    I seem to be in the minority but I want to give this group little bit of time to put it together. I’m not giving up on the offense but I am not seeing a lot that I like from Mitch. You’d hope to see glimpses and other than his scrambling plays I’m not really seeing it. But anyone feel free to make me wrong

    Gosh I have no idea what to take away from the first 2 games. Yes the defense is great maybe elite, but are they the 2005 Bears level good where they can take a shitty offense to the playoffs?

    It's pretty much pick your poison between him and Murphy right now, unfortunately. Why not Javy to SS, Zobrist at 2B and Happ in the OF? Defense gets a bit worse and Happ has been struggling mostly but Happ actually does something occasionally as a batter

    Another start for the worst position player hitter in baseball. Has a sub .500 OPS over the last 1/3 of a seasons worth of PAs but I’m sure hes due to snap out of it

    Not much of a day off as they will probably get back from AZ around 6am Thursday and they play a day game Friday at the White Sox If the game ends at midnight local time they will have a whole like 36 hours off not including travel time. Blah, we really need to win the division and give our guys 3 days off before the playoffs.

    The last two times the Cubs came back from the West coast this year they didn’t get a day off so this is quite a perk

    I doubt Joe benches him for this, he’ll get a good talking. Willy should be in there vs the two lefties at the least in Arizona. Funny, only too 14 games left into the season for Maddon to act like a manager and call out a player.. He feeling a little pressure from upper management??????? Huh?
