  1. That second mortgage of Wrigley Field must have gone through
  2. Bruce Levine wrote that there are rumblings that the Ricketts have approved a high price FA expenditure.
  3. One other thing that last night’s win does: at worst, the Week 17 game will be for the division. But obviously it’s far more likely we clinch before
  4. very worrying tweets from people who seemingly know what's going on. All I saw was the Deadspin article on him and Roth's tweet. Both were somewhat light hearted, so I was hoping it was nothing serious. If it was life threatening, I feel like they wouldn't talk about putting him on "injured reserve." What are you reading? Man, hope it's nothing serious. Yeah, the article begins with "Irredeemable Vikings Fan", doesnt sound like something they would write if he was about to die. I'm guessing its a fairly serious car accident but not one that is life threatening.
  5. What was to stop the Bears from doing that like 7 more times? If this becomes a thing, they should just change the rule to give the opponent a choice to either accept the penalty or stop the clock. While we're on the subject of penalties, for the longest time I've wanted the NFL to make it so that if a team gets called for a delay of game penalty, they have the option of wasting a timeout (if they have it) instead of automatically losing 5 yards Edit: I guess LAR could have used their last timeout to stop the clock if they wanted to.
  6. [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet] i think she may have purged the original tweets at some point but i found some sort of evidence of the tweets i was thinking of in these RTs there are also a bunch of replies to her about heyward from a week earlier but i can't find an RT of the actual tweet she made (12/1/15). [tweet] [/tweet]this is one of them She deletes her account like 3-4 times a year when she's harassed by people. I am not sure whether the tweets come back when you reopen it.
  7. that crazy, I feel like that thanksgiving night victory was like a year or two ago. edit: reading is hard
  8. I'm surprised 2005 isnt on that list. Just based on nothing but eye test I thought that was the best defense since 85. 2006 started out great but because of injuries to Tommie Harris and Mike Brown dipped to just very good by the end of the year. 2005 team was so dominant (until the playoff game) that it would seem like a bad drive if they gave up a single first down. I started to feel that way last night with this defense. Even against a record setting offense, towards the end of the game I was kinda just expecting the Bears to shut them down.
  9. Dunno but the bears pressure definitely played a part in it. They were getting to him pretty consistently throughout
  10. No. Redskins still a factor mathematically. Logically, they are starting Mark Sanchez or a guy they just signed Tuesday for the rest of the season. Yeah if the Bears lose out and the Redskins win out, the Redskins would win the common opponents tiebreaker.
  11. And 0 4th quarter points allowed by the Bears for the second time this season. First was week 2 against Arizona
  12. Come on Parkey.... still in great position but they don’t need 2 TDS now
  13. If the Bears hang on, I believe any Bears win or Redskins loss the rest of the season would clinch a playoff spot. And of course the division magic number would be 2
  14. Already 1 minute lost and stopping them short of the 1st will probably cause them to waste a play to get the 1st
  15. Nagy doesn’t want Mitch to throw. Which I get with a 2 score lead and half a quarter left but we were at midfield. Could have put a dagger in the Rams
  16. 4th quarter starts and all the sudden the best rams drive of the game by far begins lol
  17. Here we go: vaunted 4th quarter defense ahead
  18. He’s not a finished project at least. When he’s been good he’s been pretty damn good. He’s hit some really tough throws. Can’t really tell you why he completely falls apart at times but I certainly still have a considerable amount of hope that he puts it together
  19. Maybe...I still think the better team should play for the tie there but I wouldn’t have hated it if they did
  20. He is playing worse than Chase did last week. That said, he clearly is more likely to outperform Chase Daniel the rest of the game Huh? Lololololol He had a 12.5 QBR at halftime. Chase as bad as he was, was more productive last week. But because Mitch is a a more talented QB with a better arm, he is more likely to be better the rest of the game
  21. All I ever wanted in my life as a football fan was a coach that calls crazy ass offensive plays that work more than they don’t.
  22. Even hurt hes outplaying Chase He is playing worse than Chase did last week. That said, he clearly is more likely to outperform Chase Daniel the rest of the game
