  1. This is kind of interesting if I'm hearing this in the right context:
  2. How about this OT proposal from John Harbaugh?
  3. My first thought was that if any team can keep up with the Chiefs like the Bills did, its the Bengals. But I also see they've only scored 19 and 26 points in their playoff games and have only been average at moving the ball (and both the Raiders and Titans are average defenses at best). They could break out though...the Chiefs defense is even worse and the Bengals did put up 34 on them a few weeks ago. I'm taking both underdogs against the spread but only one underdog to win outright - the Niners
  4. Really hope the Bears are interviewing a 2nd time soon
  5. No, you're right. It's all but impossible. Once the ball hits the grond, no fair catches allowed. But you can just kneel it as soon as you pick it up. The idea would be to squib it so they have to field it at the 10 or 15, and then spend time getting to the 25 or 30 or whatever instead of just being able to teleport to the 25 on a touchback. Would it have cost the Chiefs the yards/time to not get the FG? Who knows. I don't think it's quite as big of a deal that people are making it out to be. Yeah the idea is they have to field it inside the 20 and have to return it otherwise risk being backed up to your end zone. IF the kick is executed properly the return team has to choose between using seconds or having bad field position. IF the squib kick was executed properly the Chiefs almost certainly don’t win. I say if because I’m pretty sure I’ve seen more squib kicks turn into starting a drive at the 40 than ones that actually have the effect they intended to have.
  6. There should be a push for it this offseason with this being the 2nd time in 3 years this has happened
  7. I’d go with this too with the caveat that there are no extra points in OT. Every TD requires a 2 pt attempt. But for the playoffs what is wrong with a 10 minute period instead of sudden death? Hockey and baseball (temporarily hopefully) both alter their overtime rules for the offseason so it’s not unprecedented.
  8. They really need to make OT in the playoffs a 10 minute period. This reminds me of the 2019 AFC title game where Mahomes and Brady scored on almost every second half drive and it felt like whoever won the coin toss would win the game and sure enough that’s what happened both in 2019 and tonight Yes the bills should have stopped them but both offenses were scoring every drive. The coin toss played a huge part in deciding the game
  9. What we saw right there from Allen is exactly what I hope fields turns into except maybe less designed runs. Really help George is watching this.
  10. It’s not gone. Even if they have to advance through the play-in round, the team is a 55 win team at full strength and so far none of the injuries we’ve dealt with including PWill are season ending. They are going to have to play a lot better than they did tonight but as long as they finish .500 and get everyone back, the season is still on.
  11. Also classless Bucks organization. Allen suspended for 1 game. How does that disincentivize hurting other players? What’s to stop the Bulls from having Tony Bradley try to injure Giannis next time they play? I’d hope my team was classy enough to not do that but any team can go out there with the intent to increase their title chances by hurting another player and all they’ll get is a 1 game suspension
  12. I don’t know what they can do about him. Obviously it’s much better when the normal starting 5 is out there and he can be a 4th option but this is a stretch where we need an all star big man to be a big contributor and instead he’s actively hurting the team
  13. 100% understand that they’ve played a busy schedule lately and that they are likely demoralized by the never ending string of injuries but man I was hoping for a much better effort tonight. The Magic are 4-28 in their last 32 games and have not won any of those games by more than 7 points. Currently up by 13 with 5 mins left
  14. What a game. The Rams do not have to play a game away from home the rest of the year. 2nd year in a row a home team could play in the Super Bowl after never happening before last year.
  15. This was yesterday: But there’s speculation that Todd Bowles a favorite for both the Vikings and Jags jobs
  16. Amazing. Jimmy G was at Rolling Meadows when Gould became the most clutch kicker in Bears history. They both almost certainly hate the Packers and today they got to show how much they hate them.
  17. I dunno...we've had some massive injury issues in the past. It feels a lot like the season Rose tore his ACL. He couldn't stay on the court before the ACL, a large chunk of the role players were in and out of the lineup with constant injuries, etc. Or the playoff series against the Nets when most of the team was out and Nate Robinson was puking in buckets on the sideline because he needed to play (not to mention that unnecessary botched spinal tap for Deng). And maybe the other seasons haven't been as bad but our key players always seem to miss significant chunks of the season. I don't know if Lauri ever played more than 60 games for the Bulls, Butler would always seemingly miss 15-20 games a year, Lavine was missed significant time, including a COVID stretch that probably cost us the play-in last year. Noah's career was cut short in his prime due to degrading knees. Gasol missed the last half of the 2nd most important playoff series since MJ. Going back far but Jason Williams and his motorcycle... - Williams out 3-4 months, Ball out 2 months, Caruso out 3 months (two stints), Green out 3 weeks, Jones Jr (1-2 months), Lavine out 2 weeks, plus everyone out 1-2 weeks with covid. We are only halfway through the season. This is unlike any other year. Here is an article written 5 years ago about how much worse than any other team the Bulls are at keeping players healthy. I’m not sure how many games lost our injuries are, even removing COVID from it, but either way my point stands. The Bulls over the last decade are constantly dealing with ridiculous amounts of injuries compared to every other NBA team https://www.blogabull.com/2016/4/7/11321660/chicago-bulls-injury-history-training-staff-derrick-rose
  18. At least there’s this:
  19. From the start of the season to December 4 (the last game Caruso played before his injury issues started) the Bulls were ranked 7th in Defensive Rating at 105.8 Caruso played just 2 out of 18 games between December 5 - January 18th. During that stretch the Bulls ranked 28th in Defensive Rating at 115.4, ahead of only the Hawks and Rockets In the 2 games Caruso was back, the Bulls were ranked 11th in Defensive Rating at 107.5. Clearly the stat is a bit flawed because we're looking at small sample sizes and measuring stretches where many more players than Caruso were out. But his impact on the Bulls defense is undeniable. He has the best Net Rating on the team (yes better than Lavine, DeRozan, everyone) and by far the best Defensive Rating on the team (Javonte Green is the only one who even comes close). Bulls are going to have to outscore bad teams and play very well against good teams to stay afloat for however long Caruso is out. They already did that pretty well during this last stretch where he was out, but now they do it without Lonzo too.
  20. Not like this I dunno...we've had some massive injury issues in the past. Going back far but Jason Williams and his motorcycle... -
  21. I’d say it’s just not our year with injuries but the bulls seem to suffer massive amounts of injuries every year.
  22. Upcoming interviews Also from Vikings “insider”
  23. So does that mean he accepted offers or he wasn’t offered at all?
  24. That was Coby My bad
  25. Leftwich would definitely be a favorite of mine, I just assumed that the Jags or another team would nab him so I haven’t seriously thought about the possibility.
