  1. Agreed
  2. Just for you guys, I looked at NYYfans and a mets message board and found no mention of this rumor. If it was on the radio, someone would have heard about it in NYC
  3. As a true Cubs fan, I'd start lamenting how good he could have been. I'd start making my "HEY MATSUZAKA! WELCOME TO THE CUBS DL!" sign for opening day. Too bad its not going to happen. The Cubs bid was probably like $5 million, just like their attempted Carlos Beltran signing
  4. I missed the first good move.. I assume he was referring to Piniella. Ahh. Losing Ramirez will wash that all away though right?
  5. Also does he realize that the corners will very rarely give the receivers single coverage? Does he even know the defense that the Bears run? He'd better get on that.
  6. I mean he's not totally wrong, but these comments week in and week out are getting annoying. Why motivate a team to set yourself up to look like a fool.
  7. Looks like purple is way out as the Hornets, Raptors and Bucks have all gotten rid of the purple on their unis. Wonder when the Vikings and NU get rid of it...
  8. Doesn't it seem like everything Sullivan said would seen to contradict what everyone else is saying? I think hes just throwing up stuff and hoping something sticks
  9. Also, isn't it funny that the LA Times was previously owned by a Chicago based company, and now the Chicago Tribune would be owned by a LA based group
  10. Are they going to move the Cubs to LA or will they just be renamed the "Los Angeles Cubs of Chicago"?
  11. Nothing is a lock in the NFL. If they are successful at pressuring Grossman and can move the ball with short passes, the Bears can lose.
  12. Wasn't it you or UMfan? I always do poorly but it is a great contest. I hope Tim has the time to put it together again this year. I win a lot of contests, but that was not one of them. I didn't even submit an entry
  13. Thank you, that is exactly what I've been saying to people for weeks. It's not as easy as saying "Aramis you will resign with us" (unless they throw a crap load more then others are offering). It's either we overpay for him, or he just bolts. I don't care what his agent is saying, thats likely a ploy to get leverage from other teams. The funny thing is, a lot of people are going to be stunned when he bolts 'suddenly'
  14. He complained to the media that the Bengals aren't using him the right way, so maybe his numbers will improve
  15. I can't see how trading a good reliever, a potential 4th starter and a bunch of trash for Tejada would work.
  16. I really wanted Luis Montanez to succeed, and I thought he might have been turning the corner in 2005 and early 2006, but it was too late for him in this organization.
  17. The Essex Inn is right by there. I hear its cheap but its somewhere around Holiday Inn quality. Also there is a Days Inn on Harrison and Wabash about 3 blocks from the Hilton. Not sure what you're budget is like, but theres also the Palmer House Hilton a little farther away but nicer.
  18. Did you see his postgame interview? The man could barely talk and was having a hard time breathing. Maybe that would change in a week, but judging by his interview after the game, I was fairly certain he was out.
  19. I don't know about you guys, but my optimism for the rest of the season rests solely on Brian Urlacher's foot. He was/is having an MVP caliber season...not defensive MVP, overall MVP.
  20. Louisville wins by more than 10. Only 3 teams have scored 10 points on the Rutgers D this year
  21. Agreed
  22. Geez, McGowin with achillies injury. Costly loss
  23. Terrible sports weekend for Chicago
  24. He's gone to the locker room...PLEASE BE OK. Crap. Looks like the pile fell on his leg from behind on the 3rd down tackle. He stayed in for the FG. Might as well have been a PAT, but it was actually a FG
