    Yup, Ryan looks really good tonight. He doesn't deserve the fate he will receive.

    It's hard to be upbeat about a team when they've won 3 times in the last 2 weeks. That, and its depressing to see how good they were for the past month, and now....not so much. Definitely worrysome. Yup. It sucks when I got my hopes up and seriously considered this team could be a special team. They have the fifth best record in all of baseball....that's not bad in my book. I meant like 100 win World Series contender special. I know, blah blah blah 3-8 in 11 games isn't the end of the world.

I said he is showing signs of being mentally weak yes. It's really hard to strike out 8 times in a row.

    You could get the best player at every position except catcher and it'd still be a bad trade. I'll trade him for Lincecum straight up.

    This team is self destructing. When its pitching, its not hitting. When its hitting, its not pitching. Other times, the team can't field.

    The Cubs are correcting their early season run support for Dempster by making him get extra outs.

    Half the lineup struck out. Not half of them took cuts as ugly as Pie's Cubs fans who believe things like this deserve everything the Cubs have given them over the last 63 seasons. lol

    How anyone can say that Pie is ready to contribute in the major leagues is beyond me. Hey, we all want him to succeed, but he's just not a smart enough hitter right now.

    That was MURDERED. Soto should be hitting 4th right now...

    What did he do wrong? He gave up softly hit single into the shift. If the shift isn't on, its an easy out. Then he gave up a lightly hit IF hit that was perfectly placed. He followed that by ending the inning by inducing a picture perfect DP ball. When that was botched, he did walk someone, but then gave up a soft bloop single into center to score 2.

    The only good out of this is hopefully Hendry will realize that we desperately need starting pitching help. Of course he should have recognized that last season instead of resting on the laurels of an amazingly flukey season by the staff as a whole.

    It wasn't down the middle, but it wasn't all that different than Theriot's K pitch in the top half.

    I don't know about you guys, but when I turned on the game today, I just saw a loss coming. Today just feels like a loss. Anyways, putting Dempster in situations where he has to throw strikes against moderately patient hitters is not good.

    As you have defined them, the CUbs will win about 10 games. The CObs will show up for part of the month and win 3 more (with 8 losses)
