  1. OK second time through the order Sean doesn't look as sharp. Not throwing as many strikes, and the hitters have a good read on his pitches..
  2. This is the first time I've seen him throw and thought that he might be good enough for a spot in the rotation for the reason of the year.
  3. Gallagher looks absolutely awesome today. Night and day from his first start.
  4. As well as the Cubs are playing, I can't help but still be nervous about the Brewers and Reds. They may be far back right now, but those are the only 2 legitimate teams in the division (no offense St. Louis) and they are both starting to play real well.
  5. I remember flipping on White Sox games in 2005, and I swear every time I flipped to the channel, the Sox were up early. Every day I was like "wth, they are freaking winning again?" Or if they were losing later in the game, I'd later find out that they came back to win and I was just shocked at the number of ways they found a way to win. Anyways, this is what it feels like to watch the Cubs now.
  6. So if DeRosa is hurt, are we going to officially hate Soriano for life?
  7. Wait until he hits a leadoff HR in about 2 minutes.
  8. How come Soriano wasn't doing this crap last year??
  9. Is it just me or is Gallagher throwing a lot more confidently today? That's a hard thing to define but he isn't throwing like a shaky rookie out there.
  10. The Reds are really hot right now. Up 3-0 on the Braves. Ryan Brau- I mean Jay Bruce hit his second HR already.
  11. People can make all the excuses they want, but my belief has always been that you don't need spring training to bring up your bat speed.
  12. Just plugging in Hoffpauir third seems awfully lazy on Lou's part. Nah. If you put someone else at number 3, and Hoffpauir further down in the lineup, you risk putting your 3 lefties between the 5th and 8th spots in the order. At least I'm pretty sure that's his thinking
  13. After today, 33 of the next 52 games will be on the road. In June and July, the Cubs have a total of 4 home stands, and two of those home stands are only one series.
  14. 1) RHP Dae Eun Rhee 2) RHP Dae Eun Rhee 3) RHP Dae Eun Rhee 4) RHP Dae Eun Rhee 5) RHP Dae Eun Rhee 6) RHP Dae Eun Rhee 7) RHP Dae Eun Rhee 8) RHP Dae Eun Rhee 9) RHP Dae Eun Rhee 10) 3B Josh Vitters
  15. Peavy + Petco = ](*,) Hopefully we don't face him.
  16. So the Brewers are now .500 after winning for the 6th time in the last 8 games.
  17. Now if we could just figure it out on the road... if you can sustain a .750 winning % at home, who cares what you do on the road 60-21 at home, 30-51 on the road.
  18. I'm 3-3 this year at Wrigley (losses were Opening Day, the Shawn Estes game, and the first game of the second Milwaukee series). So they are 21-5 when I'm not there.
  19. Can't expect them to do everything right. Yeah seriously, neither team was from Boston or NYC, how the hell were they supposed to know which player was on which team.
  20. He could start by not maxing out at 83 MPH.
  21. Lets go OPR tonight! I actually miss him up in the big club.
