  1. 3-3 Tie in St. Louis ...middle 3rd
  2. At least the Padres are coming back...
  3. Moehler has a chance to pitch a CG....40 pitches through 3.2 IP
  4. Fukudome never gets ahead in the count anymore
  5. Give him one more start then get rid of Marquis. Really? he finished his night with 8 straight balls
  6. Again, I don't care how many runs or hits he gives up at this point (although I would like there not to be a long stretch of bad performanes). I am only worried about the number of walks/hbp/passed ball/wild pitches he gives up. As he gets closer to the majors, then I will worry about the rest of the numbers.
  7. Why? If he is bitter against Packer managment, what better way to get back at them then signing with the Bears? It's probably the other way around..the Bears would never sign Favre as they have a policy against solid QB play. Because there are several better teams to join that would give him a great shot to win the Super Bowl. Minnesota is an absolutely perfect destination, decent O-line, passable WRs, excellent running game, dome team, however my guess is the Vikings won't touch him now that these tampering charges have been brought up. Tampa Bay is a destination I hear a lot and think would work well for him.
  8. I don't think that is correct. I wish it was, but I don't think it is.
  9. What can we really base it on? The Bears will have 2 new members of the O-line, 2 new starting receivers and a new starting running back this year. There isn't much on paper to judge this offense on.
  10. It won't make us a Super Bowl contender. More than likely Favre wouldn't be nearly as effective with the offensive line and potential lack of running game we have in place. I see way too many botched plays by the O-Line leading to him forcing throws and interceptions. See 2005 Green Bay Packers. We already have a guy that can throw a lot of INTs. I'd rather see if we can develop Orton personally and see how things go. You are right that I think the D can be 2005-esque this year, but how can we guarantee they will stay healthy?
  11. + nice one
  12. One can vomit....right? Typical meathead Bear fan response..as I figured. In all honesty, the Edmonds situation worked better for the Cubs than this one would work for the Bears.
  13. One can vomit....right?
  14. Mystique has a lot to do with it. Some things just go your way. Are you telling me that the Cards were better than the Mets or the Tigers in 06? Heck No!! How many errors did the pitchers for the Tigers make that led to wins for the Cards? Its just weird.....I'm telling you!! I think you are trying to bait us with inane arguments that no person over the age of 12 would truly believe but. MYSTIQUE?!?! What the heck is that? Some cosmic force that makes the Cardinals good??
  15. This part confuses the hell out of me. This is his 21st season managing in major league baseball. We know what kind of manager he is. And he didn't do well with what last year? The only thing close to a "collapse" was the hole the team dug itself into at the beginning of the season, and they climbed out of that, obviously. I think he's referring to the playoffs last year, but I don't really know what Lou did wrong except take Z out early in game 1
  16. And to answer your question, we are ignoring the Cardinals because we are hoping that they will just go away if both sides ignore them.
  17. Lets go over your reasons for the Cardinals winning the division over the Cubs -Cardinals are scrappy -Cardinals have a bad bullpen which some some unexplained reason is apparently a fluke according to you -Cardinals will make a trade, even though their GM basically said they wouldnt -Pitcher coming off TJS will give them boost -Brewers will shoot selves in foot for some unexplained reason -Baseball demons hurting Cubs -Past 99 years is a precursor to this year -Cardinals have won titles in the past (2006 then 1982 then before that what 1967? wow you are old) so that is why they are more likely to win this year Seems quite logical
  18. Completely unrealated to your post, but how many non-Brewers fans realize the ball and glove logo actually spells M and B for Milwaukee Brewers? Such an awesome logo. OK carry on
  19. I predict Lilly hits one in the Crawford Boxes! Ok maybe not.
  20. I think Moehler has pretty good splits at home
