Marlins win on a wild pitch so the Cubs lead will stay at 1 game. Gotta win tomorrow and hope the Brewers win. Going into that last week gauntlet would be a lot better with a 2 game lead -

Big props to Ian Happ, that double in the 8th scores the runner more often than it doesn’t but he played it perfectly and prevented the runner from scoring

Luckily it looks like Houston not only will still be fighting for the division (TEX/SEA play 6 more against each other) but they might be playing for their playoff lives in that final series against Arizona. The White Sox are 5-15 in September so I don’t expect any help there.

If the Cubs go 4-3 the rest of the year, 2 of these 3 things need to happen to eliminate the Cubs: Marlins 6-2 (or 5-2 if they win today) Reds 6-1 Diamondbacks 4-4

Well if the Brewers lose today, they will play their starters tomorrow. If they come back and win, the Cubs lead over the Marlins will increase to 2. Not quite win-win but at least somewhat helpful
