  1. ARod hit an RBI triple off of him in his last appearance in 2004
  2. You know what sucks? After the excitment of this ASG is starting to wear down for me, I am realizing there there is still two more off days before the next Cubs game :(
  3. Glad I'm not the only one. It was because we were hoping so so so badly that it was
  4. Fukudome OPS vs. RH: .813 Fukudome OPS vs. LH: .720 I wouldn't call that great, but I wouldn't call it inept
  5. Great they are going to interview people this entire inning so that the Cubs hitters get no spotlight
  6. Why isn't Sheets this inefficent when he's normally starting?
  7. Fuku got lucky...He faces a righty next inning. Can they keep Sheets in for the whole game? Saunders, a lefty, was in the pen,. Oh well...Nevermind I believe Saunders has a decent 2 seamer too...something Fukudome is not very adept at hitting.
  8. solid Then again, I'm not sure Braun had any intention of taking a ball much less a walk.
  9. If I'm Lee and I've watched any game tapes of recent Cubs games, I walk Braun to get to Fukudome.
  10. Almost as awesome as Joey Cora hitting Z with a fungo bat in 2006. Or when Roberto Hernandez slipped off a platform and almost broke Cal Ripken's nose in 1994 just before he was to break the record.
  11. Look at Soto and Arod at home and only vaugely focus on Sheets and it looks like the Cubs are playing the Yankees
  12. The SB was Sheets' fault but Soto didn't exactly make a great throw.
  13. Ughhh!! As he threw that I thought about how awesome it would be to see him gun a baserunner.
  14. Those chants are one of the coolest things in sports. Is that the thing where they chant an OFer's name until he acknowledges them or something? Yeah...its pretty cool actually Anyone who has never seen it before check it out
  15. Have you been there before? Personally I thought the same way as you until I went there. What a dump. Cramped dark narrow concourses, extremely steep upper deck, cramped seats. So not all that different from Wrigley? Eye of the beholder. The concourses aren't very dark or narrow at all (ok in the UD they are)....the UD isn't very steep relatively speaking either.
  16. Cliff Lee was a good choice as the SP with the lefties in the NL lineup.
  17. Yessss the Bleacher Bums are doing their chants....definitely the only cool thing about the Yankees or their fans.
  18. It depends, does the subway train that he hits tip over at the force of his blast?
