  1. Yeah 9 out of 14 heading home isn't all that bad.
  2. Lilly's one of my favorite pitchers but it's hard not be to be frustrated when he creates his own drama with two outs. DeRo, stop trying to pull that ball! No but people saying he sucks and he shouldn't be in the playoff rotation.
  3. Geez come on guys, at least act like you still want to score runs.
  4. I think people were way too hard on Ted Lilly last inning.
  5. Don't think Lilly looks too good tonight?
  6. Man I wish we faced Mike Hampton in this series. That would have been fun. Can you guys imagine if we signed Mike Hampton to that $100 million deal before Colorado got him back in the day?
  7. I'm just scared the ball is going to be jumping tonight with Lilly on the mound.
  8. Away, away, away, away, in, away, away
  9. Wow it feels weird to see Derrek Lee hitting a HR.
  10. He's only blown 3 saves, so he's been better than Wood. Yeah but Wood is a sham closer turned middle reliever.
  11. How much you want to bet Braun hits now.
  12. Brewers fans are reading this and laughing at our frustration. Then we will be reading them later tonight when we sweep the Braves.
  13. According to this: http://www.sportsclubstats.com/MLB/National/Central/Cubs.html if the Cubs go 25-17 the rest of the way we are a lock for the playoffs.
  14. I think its kinda good because I think it would seem stupid to play a team 17 times in the regular season and then play them again right away in the NLDS, but then again, it seems like the Wild Card winner is in the same division as the team with the best record almost every year, and I think that's bad. IMO they should just seed them 1-4 and have 1 v. 4 and 2 v. 3 no matter what division they are from. I just think there should be some value to winning the division no matter how bad the record is for the division winner. the value is in that they get to play another series (or more) while the rest of their division doesn't. the Diamondbacks/Dodgers barely hovering over 500 do not deserve HFA over a team like the Brewers just because they won their weak division. What if they are barely over .500 because all of the teams in the division are awesome and beat up on each other all the time? Meanwhile a team like the Angels gets to play with the Rangers, A's and Mariners. Not saying that's true, but just a hypothetical situation. With an unbalanced schedule, there has to be a value to winning the division, otherwise it makes no sense.
  15. god bless the royals. If there was an opposite to the World Series, the Royals and the Nationals would be it. The Padres are in a 1 game playoff with the Nats.
  16. I'm confused, what did you use to figure that out?

  18. I would let it go. We're in a pennant race. Win this "battle" by scoring more runs and sweeping the season series, not by plunking some Brave in the ribs. Exactly. Hopefully Lou takes Soriano aside, explains to him that the team is behind him but we aren't going to risk damaging suspensions by throwing at one of their guys.
