Wow Wisdom coming in, so weakening the IF and OF defense to try to chase a run when up by 1 late. Interesting move that I don't necessarily agree or disagree with. Edit: I reserve the right to pretend I always knew it was a bad idea when Belli can't get to a ball to CF to lose the game.

They're just too good when they get going. I cannot see a way we keep them from scoring 1 run over the last 2 innings. If the Cubs want to make the playoffs they need to score some runs here.

Sorry yeah I am watching but it was such an inexplicable occurrence I was wondering if the Cubs planned it but doesn’t make any sense so guess not. young inexperienced player trying to make an impact on a team fighting for the playoffs and ended up making a bad mistake

Were they trying to bait the catcher to throw to 2nd? Has to be the case right? No way PCA flat got picked off 3rd with 2 outs might not have even been a “play”, PCA might have just got faked out by the pump fake and was trying to be aggressive. Something Javy would do. Definitely a mistake but I can understand what he was thinking. Can’t get picked off a 3rd with 2 outs and your hottest hitter up in a playoff like game when your only job is to run the bases and play great defense

So guessing Marlins being rained out is a good thing. Game 1 is still Garrett, game 2 will be an opener. Their pen is going to be taxed

I doubt they rest any of their big bats in this series. Matt Olson has played every single game this year including both games of the doubleheader they had on Sunday. Acuna and Albies have played every game that they've been healthy enough to play. At other positions they have depth pieces that are almost as good as their starters. Maybe that changes if they clinch but I think the earliest they can clinch is after tomorrow's game and that would involve the Cubs losing the first 2.
